Valley of Decay

Map generation and other oddities
So, I decided to try this game out and first thing I noticed, making a game has a higher chance of generating large terrain not connected to the small island you happen to spawn on...

Abilities are gained by a 3x4 rubix cube style grid which basically prevents you from having any interesting abilities since you need to level up to move it one way or another, and moving can affect every skill if you want to have a chance at a different skill in a particular row... and the "random roll" option doesn't work....

The pictures show a talent system but the only window that apparently uses talent points is the "god powers" but I wasn't getting such points anyways and clearly looked nothing like the talent window in the store page screenshots which would have been better imho...

The gear system is interesting.... I randomly found a level 1 sword that gave me a ton of physical damage, ice damage, and had a +ice warlord which I have no clue what that was.... several of my items had red words like that on them...

Hello Arctic Howler,
thank you for your input!

The first point you noticed it indeed an issue, but you can dodge it by simply creating a new game. I know it can be annoying but it shouldnt happen very often.

Abilities random reroll does work, the only thing that may prevent you from using it could be that you either have no ability points left or that you key binding doesnt work.

The huge talent tree from the preview image does exist in the game, but you can only access it from level 100 onwards in your personal house on "the grid".

Yours,
Mario

Ah... the generation personally is a huge turn off since it took about 20 generations to have a viable map that was beyond just 10 monsters(thus slow leveling if any...)

the abilities reroll said delete, which the key does work, curious... may have to try rebinding it sometime and see if it works... I had plenty of points however... unless it requires enough points for each individual line...

Good to know about the talent tree, sad to see it's that far out with that generation issue though...
