MicroVolts Surge

MicroVolts Surge

You can still play Microvolts
Masangsoft's Microvolts is taking forever to release and they don't give any updates on the state of the game so i'd recommend you to play THO instead. Seems like i gave them unfair hate due to misunderstanding. They update the game and the experience isn't bad.

im completely not sure about it but at least it seemed like it, though none of these 2 are legal then, so i guess like it doesnt even matter since the original is down

the masangsoft one is actually legitimate, they're an actual game development company and purchased the licensing for MV before it shut down, THO is not legal though

is this game still around? i heard it left steam store a long time ago and i can't find anything official on this game anymore it doesn't even show in the store when searching for it.
yes, they removed it from store because it went offline, you cant play original game anymore, you can play toy heroes online (and possibly, in the future) MasangSoft Microvolts
Toy Heroes is bad ;/
question, would i have to make a new account for microvolts online, or is there a way i could obtain my own account ?

Edit: just checked forums, games dead. rip

ye, microvolts is pretty much dead
Tried out Toy Heroes Online. The P2W aspect is still strong if not stronger. New Players get shafted considering the playerbase is small as it is so it probably won't grow further than that. The cash you start off with isn't enough to get you settled and I don't feel like grinding to get more considering the opponents all have maxed up gear.

pretty much. Overall it's just not worth putting any time or money into it considering the time since it has been released and all those problems u just listed. Also, a lot of people only played mv because of the friends and community they took part in, now with the dwindling playerbase and non existing community, its just a bad p2w game
The issue is how weapons scale you so hard. In things like TF2 all weapons had their merits and demerits. Even using default gear is good if you're a good player, but in this game you HAVE to buy good weapons or get one shot. Default Shotgun takes like 3 seconds per shot while the enemy already fired their 3 shots in that time.
Since it isn't official as well they can't really commercialize it so word of its existence won't get out to potential new players or old fans. A shame really. This honestly reminds me of Archeblade where the first 2 characters you unlock are pretty much your only characters due to how grindy it is without paying. And you won't even know if you unlocked a good character.

That was my problem with the original game, but i guess back then it was still less grindy and more acceptable and tolerable, because it didnt seem such a fishy and scammy game, just kinda. But ye, like most things, i think its better for us to just look for new games, or maybe other old games that didnt suffer the same fate, it's sad but it's the reality. The funny thing is that even though i wasn't even high leveled, because i kept getting frustrated because my weapons were simple and bad compared to the super flashy guns the other guys had and mostly because i was very young, i still remember the game really well today, nostalgia is a powerfull thing...

you guys are actually funny. Toyheroes is how microvolts should've been.

Every weapon is balanced and now all rt weapon have adv stats meaning the barrier between mp and rt has never been so small. In mvs, it was ridicule, players with gods were ridiculously overpowered but in this game, you get barely even good gods.

You guys are just hoping they would give you everything right off the bat. Good players can now outplay rt players quite easily to be honest.

I dropped the game early because it was a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of people trying to make money out of it and those who spent tons of money in it from day one, after giving it a bit of time to settle, its hard to find 2 different tdm matches that im able to join, most of the time either its just 1 match that is full or no matches at all. I cant say about the prices but it definetly feels really scammy and fishy. When it first launched, literally no guarantees to wether the money you were putting into it is going to support the game maintenance or much credibility on the team that is running it, so i mean anyday that they feel like it they could just shut it down, i dont know any one from the THO team but even if i knew i mean if MS's Mv were to release they could just force them to shut it down. Also, beginner weapons still feel really weak, yes maybe if youre really good at the game you can outplay people with rt weapons, but theyre still on a big disadvantage, and since those beginner weapons are still really bad, it just makes people lose interest and reason to keep playing, maybe a less harsh start would really benefit the game, not saying that on the long run mv items are way more close to rt items, but the start-mid is still really ♥♥♥♥.
Also no, i understand that they need to make money to keep the servers running and to give them some sort of reason and motivation to continue working on it, but maybe they could just change the whole thing for a complete f2p experince and keep the monetisation high on cosmetics only.

In the original Microvolts Surge I could still play regularly with default weapons and amass many kills. It's not a matter of skill, I have plenty. Having only 50-100 people playing the game total is the problem here. Don't defend the pay to win aspect when it's pay to win. Good players aren't always free to play. They can be both a good player and a payer. The only people still playing are the diehard fans who wanna keep it alive so of course the majority have already payed for premium benefits.
The release date is postponed to 2021, let's hope it's true.

doubt
why does NQ Games won't create a game story and sell it, it would be nice to play.
