i suffer from major depressive disorder every day of my life, its a struggle to get out of bed let alone work or even hang out with my closest friend. This experience is something different. For a full 12 minutes my sadness was gone. I saw the beauty in things which is normally an impossible task for someone like me. Maybe now ill find it easier to sit back and find happiness in the little things. Something tells me this will have a lasting impression on me.

A massive thank you to the developers as we look after a girl with cerebral palsy and very accute learning difficulties (she's totally non-verbal) and we thought this might be something she liked and she was totally mesmerised from beginning to end - with a beaming smile throughout.

You have just made her so happy and so full of wonderment, she was even reaching out for things within the experience. :-) It was a beautiful thing for her and for us to see her so utterly enthralled.

Why am I crying?

I don't EVER write reviews, but I felt the need to express my feelings after watching this. Someone from reddit recommended this video, and I was like, paying for a video? That sounds kind of weird.

It's not.

This video hit me in the feels and gave me the space to feel some feelings that I must be supressing. I was crying and I can't tell if it's because I'm sad or happy to have had the opportunity to feel some of these feelings in my life growing up.

A little bit of missing the simple life of being a child, but also the pleasure of just how beautiful simple things in life truly are.

I don't really know what else to say, I feel like this video will really let you open up to yourself. It felt like a form of therapy frankly.

Every VR owner should buy this! It is one of the best guided VR visual experiences ever released.

[UPDATE] The DEV has been very responsive to suggestions and has added a "music only" play mode. This makes and excellent experience even better. I've edited my review to reflect this change.

This is a VR work of art. Superior in every way to what has been released in this genre during the 2 years I've owned a Vive. It should be released on the Quest, and every platform. I had chills being transported to sublime scenes!

I found the narration to be the most disappointing aspect of the app, but with the new ability to turn it off, listening one time through isn't so bad. It would be great to have different soundtracks using various styles of music, the ability to watch forward or backward, and a slider to adjust visual playback speed (not audio) during viewing (I may want to slow down my favorite scenes to "drink it all in").

I love the quality, variety, attention to detail, and emotional journey this experience provided. Highly recommend to everyone!

Firstly let's get a bit of full disclosure on the table. This isn't really a game. It's an experience. I know what you're thinking - your eyes are glazing over and your lips are mouthing the words "not another VR experience". I thought the same thing. You're right. As far as I could tell there was no way of influencing this experience in any way whatsoever. It will start where it starts, run through to the end and then finish.

But (and this is a pretty big "but". In fact this is a bigger "but" than Steve Ballmer's butt). But this experience Blew My Mind. Have you read "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy"? If you have you may remember a device known as The Total Perspective Vortex - a device which shows you the entire unimaginable infinity of creation, and somewhere in it there's a tiny little speck, a microscopic dot on a microscopic dot, which says, "You are here". The point being that it is more than the human mind can cope with leading to insanity and dribbling. Conscious Existence does a pretty good job of achieving something similar.

You may wish to smoke your favourite potted herb, strap yourself in, have a fairy cake on standby and prepare to be transported to the outer reaches of Blownmindsville. It won't take long but life will never seem quite the same again. For me the result was I phoned my octogenarian mother and told her she was great (I wanted to thank her for calling me into existence but thought better of it on the basis that she hasn't been smoking potted herbs - at least as far as I know - actually, that might explain a lot...).

Conscious Existence is a transcendental experience - genuinely. It cost me £2.99. That's not bad for a one way ticket to Insanistan.

Highly enjoyed the video, though I recommend purchasing while on sale in its current state as of Jan 2021. If the developer allowed scene selection and a mode that looped the same scene seamlessly it would be worth full price and much much more. Being able to stay in the same scene as long as I want would easily make this app one of the best relaxation apps on Steam.

This was deeply beautiful, in a very personal way.

Most people looking at this product on the store page will be asking the following question: "Should I spend money on a 12 minute long movie?"

I don't know how to answer that. I suppose it depends on the person as much as the movie. Should a person buy a $100 ticket to Disney World and stand 2 hours in line for a ride that lasts 10 minutes?

Speaking for myself, this was a lot more meaningful experience than a ride at Disney or the latest Marvel movie. So much so that I watched it twice, back-to-back. I plan on watching it several more times in the near future.

And I can do that, because it's now mine to keep.

I'm rather PISSED OFF I did not experience this on the index. The audio alone would of tested the index spatial performance to the max.

Imagine dying and coming back to life and then appreciating your room. YOUR ROOM! A feeling enhanced by Infinity! That feeling! The production crew managed to pull that out of me. I appreciated life, looking at the sky, the sun, the ground, the trees. Even an ANT I observed under a magnifying glass. It's like all your senses melted into one neural pulse. This is how I felt after I came back from death. And after the high, I am now feeling normalized and I validated my existence now and for ever more.

Of course, your experience will be different. Instead of feeding your stomach this morning with a Starbucks Caramel Frappuccino, do yourself a favor and feed your mind.

I'm watching this high as f*ck and I can say I found the meaning of life and I understand it. The universe gave us life. This is so worth it. You get so into it it's unreal. A must watch for sure

Doesn't work with AMD GPUs, even playing the VR video directly from a VR Media Player doesn't work, if u use AMD/Radeon; Avoid It.
