Hi Ross,
do you at least see the player menu when hitting a controller button?
And are you able to jump to different sections in the timelime (even if it doesn't play)?
If it is does not even play with other third party players, even the lower-res version from the beta option, then it is most likely a codec issue.
You have tried installing the K-Lite codec pack?
Might be also that you have one of those rare WIN7 K/N versions where the Media Foundation framework is missing, in which case you need this: https://www.microsoft.com/de-de/download/details.aspx?id=16546
An lastly what graphics card are you using?
Thanks,
Marc
Glad it worked for you!
Never had or heard about the audio issue you described, but thanks for reporting.
Have a good day,
Marc
Hi! The reduced beta version should work on every workstation, it even runs on mobile headsets like Oculus Go or GearVR - some people reported issues with Radeon cards though, even after installing the K-Lite codecs. What's your setup?
Thanks,
Marc
Okay, if you don't have a WIN7 K/KN version that lacks the Media Foundation framework, I'm a bit clueless then. If you didn't already, I can only recommend you to try with third party players as described in the pinned FAQ thread. If none those play it, my best guess would still be a codec issue.
