Great, what's the plan now?
So we have a half broken game that pretty much died on launch and we have only promises to go off of now. I get that this game is what you wanted to create but if that's the case then you shouldn't be surprised when the playerbase has been reaching single digits as of late.

Only thing that can save this game is to turn it into a PVE 4VAI mode of some kind because I don't think updates of any other kind will, but that's just my opinion

Heya, the devs do not plan on adding play against AI in the future.

Well then the dev team should shut down the servers when it's getting to the point of having your playerbase in single digits

Seems like it. Huge shame too, we could have had Monstrum 1 as a sequel but expanded upon and everyone would be happy about it

Also just wanna add, they should have developed this game a lot more before releasing it, first impressions always count and after playing the closed alpha I really had no hopes for the game. Playing it once it released in early access only fortified that

Yeah, p disappointing. Friends and I were interested but from what people are saying, game is abandoned

So, they quit?

They most likely will, it'll get a few updates here and there but nothing substantial, they should have listened to us from the start and included ai monsters, it's not like we didn't give their idea a chance either, we waited, we tried and we know there are soooo many problems even for an early access game
or, advertise more

Advertisements will only do so much, they'll pull in players sure but it'll be short term because those players will realise how buggy and just a mess this game is currently in rn

I knew this game would die. I didn't buy it

I am honestly so sad to see how badly this failed, not only from a money standpoint, but from a design standpoint too. Imagine what it would have been like if it stayed singleplayer but just added more maps and monsters with variety as its motto. Monstrum 2 could have been great. They just shot themselves in the foot by trying to compete with dbd instead of improving what they had.:heyred:

They released the game too early in a buggy and unfinished state and called it EA instead of what it was: A beta

The devs clearly haven't done anything either

Honestly when I heard that monstrum 2 would have multi-player I assumed it would be a coop experience against the monster.
Which would be the logical evolution to what they had.
No one with any experience in the industry throws out any excessive multi-player focused game onto the current (past three years till now) market because the pc can't support that many online games with active players to feed into the matchmaking.

I wouldn't have believed if someone told me that the guys that created two games in the lower quality class would throw the one with the biggest coop potential on the oversaturated market to compete against Dead by Daylight.
How detached from reality could you be.

I see only one way out. Focus on cooperative and singleplayer gameplay, polish that part till its insanely well working and offers enough replayability, then when that is standing release the game with a great deal (multiple copies per purchase) and work on the pvp as an option.
They should ignore pvp completely until the solo and coop portion stands solid.
PvP for this game would ever only be an option for established groups, not for randoms. There just is no chance it would therefore get a sustaining player base to keep the matchmaking pool filled.
Like, no chance.
And if you know the industry at least a tiny bit, then that should be clear.
