This isn't quite right. Alphas aren't canon. It doesn't mean we are playing as Nicky. We are just a new neighbor in the neighborhood. Alphas have their own story. Neighbor commited apostasy and sold his soul to the devil for a golden apple. You can even find "Faust" books in his garage.

This is correct. The alpha builds of the game are not and have never been canon as of the full release of the game. I do like this "theory" though.

no. yes, they have the same animations and they have similar body type but i'm pretty sure in the old alphas, the neighbor is your father.
