Performance issues on RTX 2080 Ti
I don't know if any experiences the same...

The train level which is the first one in this game runs very poorly. Sadly there are no graphics options in this game.

On the second level it performs way better, but the moment a robot discovers me, the framerste get a nosedive until I kill em.
I would take a guess that the game engine has an issue of building a path to the players position for the robots to go.....

Nevertheless, this kinds makes it hard to fight them when the game starts to stutter..

Any one else experiencing this?

What is your CPU?
I got similar issue, running a RTX 2070 Super

I have an RTX 2080Ti, but do not experience this unless the bots are close enough for me to clip into them. I do have an i9 9900KF, so that might be the difference.

Also, I'm playing on a Rift CV1.

Got an I7 8700k. While reading Megawolf's post, yes, you are right...it happens when they are close to me. The frames take a noise dive.

I'm playing on a Vive Pro.

I'm seeing constant reprojection on both BC and BC2. This does not happen in games with much more complex visuals.

Have tried all iterations of 441.x drivers, SteamVR prod. vs beta., full clean driver install with DDU, etc. This is a VR only PC with no junk on load, no browsers or other junk on startup - only thing running is Steam.

RTX 2080 with Valve Index for reference. Even at the "Faster" graphics settings and 100% render scale (no supersample) I'm at 100% reprojection in the main office opening sequence in BC and the opening sequence in BC2.

I have not tried to progress further and test other areas as I'm still open to returning both if the graphics are not fixable.

I have a rtx 2070 super and get made performance issues on the train. I think it is because of all the tree objects. they might be making hundreds of draw calls. When i look at the floor the fps goes up.

It is interesting that so many RTX users specifically are experiencing problems, we'll have to buy one of those and look into it (most of us at the office have 1060, 1080, 980).

I've heard a couple of cases where people were running SLI and that actually made performance worse in BC2, if you have that I'd suggest testing turning that off. No idea why this happens though.

BC1 does suffer a lot from performance issues, but it's CPU bound and should make no difference if your GPU is a 970 or higher unfortunately. BC2 is more optimized in general, and since we experience so few problems at the office it feels like there's some type of configuration specifically that it doesn't like.

Hello, there !

I experience the same troubles with a 2080ti and a Ryzen 2700x.

Regards.

I experience the same with a 2080 i5 9600K

I came here to make the same claims about performance. I like the company, I like their game, but the performance really bothers me to the point of not wanting to play BC2, because it's just taking me out of the game. If I hold my arms out and pivot in place, my hands jutter to an insane degree. If I face one direction and sway side to side, whatever I'm looking at in front of me-- table, barrel, crate-- stutters like crazy.

GTX 1080 Ti
Ryzen 9 3950X
16GB 3200mhz RAM

I really hate to gripe with this game. I like Neat Corp and Budget Cuts.

We are working on a patch that should fix the CPU performance issues. We are suspecting the problems on RTX 20XX hardware have to do with this as well, since our tests with such hardware doesn't show anything specific for those GPUs, the game is just really heavy on CPU.

Hopefully the patch will release next week!

Great news. Thanks for letting us know! I really appreciate it.

Was this never fixed?
I'm on a RTX 2070 Super and experience stuttering evertime robots are searching for me. I did not had this issues on the first game.
Makes it pretty hard to play.

I don't know. I got a 3090 and never went back to Budget Cuts 2 after making this thread.

When I had an 2080ti FTW3 Ultra I had similar issues but I also had a 6 core i7 5820k. Now I have a 5800x and a 3080ti FTW3 Ultra and everything is fine

So it could be the 2080ti but despite having a 6 core 12 thread cpu that was overclocked to 4.8ghz all core I still lost performance in games because of my cpu.

I had the 2080ti with the 5800x for about a week and I got an instant 20-30 fps bump in Forza Horizon 4 at 4k max settings. Also got a 20 fps bump in Watch Dogs 2 and Legion.

So basically... I have no idea lol but since nobody seems to know if it's an rtx card in general issue... I guess I'll pass on buying this today.
