Sorry for the troubles!
While you're here, what's with the price of BC2 being doubled in Argentina? You guys have stuck with Valve's default conversions for every other territory, and BC1 is still at the normal price of ARS$329.99, so it seems strange to hike the price in the region that is arguably most in need of fair pricing.
Edit: Was there some sort of misunderstanding and someone thought the full BC1 + BC2 bundle was being sold at half the intended price?
Not yet, but thanks for the reply. :)
ARS$ 649,99 to ARS$ 1299,99
So let me get this straight: we (argentinians) get to pay a far worse price because a few a-holes are jumping through hoops to get the game from our store? (and considering the amount of hoops they have to jump through, it's a far smaller number than the number of possible genuine argentinians buying the game).
Valve finally plugged that loophole approximately three months ago, ostensibly after Bamco missed a zero when setting the RU price for the Code Vein Season Pass; now, Steam's checkout system works as you might expect, cross-referencing the country of issue associated with credit/debit cards against the user's nominated store region and rejecting the transaction if there's a mismatch (third-party payment options, like PayPal, have always been region-locked). Additionally, even if said loophole were still open, there'd be nothing preventing those same people from buying the game from the Russian/Turkish/etc. store at a similar discount.
I'd reconsider the price hikes. To more-or-less reiterate what Kurt Russell has said, quite literally all you've done by quadrupling the price is massively inconvenienced an entire country -- everybody affected now has to wait for a 75% discount to be paying what they should be paying today and were paying originally.
... and on top of all this - i highly doubt it was Valve's recommendation to raise the price only for Argentina ... considering how they priced Half-Life: Alyx in all the regions (including Argentina)
You might want to get your gut checked then.
