My recommendation is, learn to love these puzzles.
For example, the faeries are unbelievably cute!
And honestly, that's kind of my problem with the fairy golf puzzles. It's not that it exists, it is that it overstays its welcome in a concentrated portion of the game. You have to do *dozens* of fairy golf puzzles *in a row* and *without pause*. And then it tapers off into something more reasonable.
It's not necessarily the density of the puzzles, although that's not exactly what I signed up for when I got a Bard's Tale game, it's that this particular game is overused in one very specific part of the game. It needed to be broken up and scattered hither and yon, so you had a less overwhelming supersaturation.
spoiler: you will wish back these kind of puzzles if you are in the dwarfen fortresses and their spezial kind of puzzles
The Fairy golf courses are some of the bet puzzles in the game, for sure. One of the many reasons I was always holding out hope for a VR implementation. I mean a ton of the assets are ported over from the Mages Tale already ...
bards tale 4 is definitely one of my favorite games (like wasteland 3 by enxile)
I have no problem losing my heart to non-triple-a titles (like Outer Worlds for example)
but I can understand that some prefer to sink into a flow while playing - and don't always want to overthink everything
again: for me, bards tale 4 is a real insider tip (as well as might & Magic x Legacy), but for the normal gamer it can be bulky
I'm all for (seeing you do) that! Quite novel! You'll be an instant YT success! ;-)
There have been threads before about this (the puzzles, not the manhood thingy), my dear fishing friend, I'll refer you to the latest:

Works Great in VR using UEVR.
However, I don't propose to try his method of fishing.
*Cough*
I mean 🥲 *cough*
The success of the manhood-fishing-technique would be highly depended if the bait looks like a delicious worm, or like a threatening python...
What thinks you, Kira?
🤔 Though I'm guessing I'm asking the wrong person.
Anyway... Didn't we all have the tendency at one point to smash a fairy into a rock? I think we do. It's in our nature. 😌 Even if only just... you know... to see what would happen.
That said, I personally liked the fairy-puzzles. Thought them pretty fun.
If you're already getting frustrated by this, I fear for your mental well-being in the latter half of the game, with the blood-fire-linking puzzles...
But if you get stuck or need help, just ask in these forums. It's an older game by now, but there are still a few die-hards active, like kira, chilkoot and me.
