Mangar`s Tower blocked door or secret room? No way in!
There is a blocked door near the huge double door or gate. I looked all over for a way in. Has anyone found a way in or is this locked by design?

If you can provide a bit more info that would be helpful... are you trying to get *in* to Mangar's Tower, or are you saying there's a door in there you can't figure out? Screenshots would be very helpful as well if you want someone to be able to understand what you're asking and give you some guidance.

I assume you mean the main entrance, or one of the 3 doors in the hallway. Maybe you missed the clues, but you're supposed to open those doors (first the sidedoors) by finding certain objects (it's a sort of rtiddle). The same goes for the objects for the altars, which you can find if you go throught the sidedoors and solve the puzzles in the labyrinths there. Once you founf *those* two objects and put them in the altars, the main door will open.

The game is puzzle heavy, so you're going to get your mindset go that route: in most cases, to open important doors, you'll have to solve a puzzle or find an object. Sometimes you get some clues from the quest(giver), or from a book or paper. So check those out first.

I`m not sure if i posted the picture correctly, but i`m inside Mangar`s tower and there is a huge double door that i opened. As you go through this door, there is a blocked door to the left and a door that leads to the (upside down room block puzzle) on the right. I have not found a way inside the door on the left. Maybe it`s not meant to be opened. If my picture is any good, you can see the mini map on the top right showing the left and right passageway. The door in question is on the left side. Thanks for your help!
That's a link to your profile?

Anyway, as said, you need to search for certain objects. The first is found in the main hall (I assume you found that, since you managed to open one door), but there are other objects to be found in the other rooms (and the one room opens up only after you finished the other).

Or it's a bug. 😉

But tell me: did you acquire a certain object in the room you entered, and did you place it in one of the altars?

Thank you for your time. I think i have a better way to show you this area in Mangar`s tower.
I`ll post a link to a youtube video that is not mine, but is very clear on the blocked door i can`t access.

On time index 13.00 minutes, you will see the double door that he opens and then he goes to the left and notice the door is blocked .At time index 13.10 is the door in question, That is the door i can`t open or find a solution for. I have solved the rest of Mangar`s Tower on my own. I was just curious about this door. There are quite a few hidden areas in this tower. Thanks for helping out!

I really wish I could remember, but I really don't. I guess maybe some secret corridor with a push-button opens it? Isn't there one in the beginning when you enter, at your left (while at your right, there are swinging axes)? Or was that for deactivating a trap? It's been too long, really, and my third playthrough is going slowly, and I didn't went to (re)search that area yet.

But maybe chilkoot will know. He's, like, making a compendium about it, or something. Maybe it's fresh in his records (or memory). Chilkoot; any thoughts?

Before you enter the upside down room "push the blocks and they float to the ceiling puzzle." There is a fairly large Altar/Shrine that is a statue of Mangar. If you are looking at the shrine, and make a right, that will lead to you to the upside down room puzzle. And if you were to go left, that takes you to a door that is Blocked. Also before the Altar/shrine room, you had to push a block down a hallway. Hopefully this information helps, because I can't figure it out.

Yes, that's the area segg indicated as well. But, wasn't there, way *before* you come to that area, at the very start, a corridor with at the left some sort of trap, and to the right swinging axes? I remember there (left) being a switch that I overlooked the first time. I'm not sure if it's for that (or what purpose it had), because it's pretty vague in my memory, but I do recall finding such a thing.

I know that switch, and have hit it already. I believe it opened up the door at the end of the hallway with the swinging axes.

Could be. Well, I'm at my third playthrough now, but it's going slowly (I have a lot of other things to do, or even play, after all ;-)). But when I get there and manage to open that door, I'll be sure to tell you.

Heh... all that bumping. ;-p

I thought chilkoot would have chimed in by now, but maybe he doesn't know the answer neither. And I'm sorry to say my third playthrough is going extremely slowly, so I don't know if or when I can help you.

As far as I can see, in the original there wasn't even a door, but only an empty corridor? So I don't know what they changed in the DC, but somehow I doubt it's going to be anything major, so I wouldn't worry you are missing out on something really important. Though I get the sense of wanting to "complete everything". ;-)

If, in the meantime, you've figgered it out yourself, feel free to share! (that way, others will know too, in the future).

I still have not found out the answer. I keep going back every so often to see if it "magically" opens, and it is still closed. I agree, I believe it was a door that the devs. wanted to put something there but did not have the time. If I do find out the answer i will post it here!

Having same thing; all clear tower but this door remain blocked , i guess there is either nothing or a back side entrance from somewhere

Looking back at Beta/early? video, there was no door but only a wall. Not sure if this is unfinished content but I haven't been able to get through it either. Even though it's probably minor, it's so disappointing to not know if I'm missing something or if the game just is incomplete there.
