You need a patch to make it uncensored.
Sorry to hear that as for me that means a "NO SALE" and I'll explain why..................there are lots of devs/publishers now releasing their games on STEAM uncensored and for me that is the way it should be and the way to move forward!!
Granted there is a patch to make your game uncensored but why does this still now need to be the case??
I am at the moment playing a game called Crystal Maidens (Which is a new release on STEAM) and that does not contain censorship in any way shape or form and that is the way is should now be on this platform!!
So sorry to say but this is one game (And any that adopt this process) I'll pass on!!
(Just to add as well why dont you put a free DLC up on STEAM that makes the game uncensored??)
If you've seen some of the more recent examples of Steam banning/censoring games (highschool settings, sexual assault, loli, etc) you'd see why this dev and many others are opting to go this way.
Games that were fine even a year ago by Steam standards are being removed for little-no-reason so it makes sense as to why this game is censored by default on the store.
All sounds wrong/odd to me as like I say there are games on STEAM that have released uncensored (Such as Crystal Maidens and many more!!) and they have not been taken off the platform and have even passed through STEAM'S process for being on STEAM????
Take a look at this:
https://www.oneangrygamer.net/steam-waifu-holocaust-2-0-banned-game-list/
Games like Mega Milk Story and Glory of the Self-Styled Diehard Girl got banned this year after being on Steam for ages. Like I said, it seems to differ for every dev and may even depend who reviews or in this case re-reviews your game. There's apparently 2 Valve employees that are coming down pretty hard on anime games by the names of Jason Ruymen and Arisa Sudangnoi. I don't know how accurate that is, but people are blaming them for the ban waves and titles like Mega Milk Story getting taken down.
So if they are coming down on games like this then don't you think its about time they too came down on games like Mortal Kombat where you not only get to be-head people, hack them in half, pull out vital organs ECT-ECT (And I love these games myself!!)
Call of Duty where in one of the games you get to take part in a terrorist massacre at an airport and you get too choose whether or not you want to take part in it (Therefor giving you the choice of whether of not to take part in mass murder!!)
And that is just two games which let not only adults but children take part in gory and violent actions/situations....................yet show some anime boob and "GOOD GOD" the world comes to an end!!
If these games pass through STEAM'S hands and are allowed on the platform then how can some of their own employees then say "OH this is too naughty and rude for STEAM lets get them taken down!!"
Take about double standards and to be honest if that's the case then we are under a dictatorship here on STEAM and here I was thinking we lived under different rules than that!!
Sounds like you have to follow the rules and yeah, not all of them were...being unlucky as they did tried to.
Perhaps they might change their mind before putting them on their store.
You're absolutely right and I find it just as silly. I've been following this banning situation for a while and I can't help but feel sorry for developers... who are given the freedom to publish games like this but don't know what's acceptable in terms of content and if the game is at risk of being removed at any point in the future.
I don't mind patching games but I can understand why some view it as a bit pointless. But not buying a game like this because you have to patch it is punishing the dev and in a way shows Valve there's not an interest in adult titles.
