Feedback : first thoughts, questions
Hi,

Allright, just played 22 minutes, first thoughts :

no graphics options ? it's quite rough in the station in FPS view. Otherwise, I like the narrative part at the very beginning, even though it's not very well animated (especially the tablet) . That guy sure loves coffee.

base building part : very confusing, what is what, what to do... I think print machine is preparing material for building other things, but what is the thing in the lower right corner you need to drag to the buildings in order to make them work ? Isn't it an unnecessary complexity layer ? Will we have more than one "thing" to drag to buildings later ?

Some things can be clicked, some don't, no info whatsoever, UI is missing feedback and clarity.

I built the Silo, clicked on the up arrow, nothing happened, clicked on the down arrow, I guess max capacity lowered, clicked again on the up arrow, nothing happened, so I guess I permanently lowered this Silo capacity ?

I reach the part where I must build a Sifter, but there's missing parts, even though I set up the printer for this building. So nothing happens, and that's it.

Had the pleasure to find out that leaving and restarting the game makes you start everything again... Well, not sure I want to do that now, so I'll wait for more answers about what I should do in the base building part.

Got a good feeling about this, base building with real character incarnation, a scenario, but for now, as far as I could see, I'll say that:
- misses a lot of visual polish, but that's ok, beta is beta
- animation is kinda clumsy and misses "feeling" of reality, but again, that could be improved
- base building is really not easy to understand, a lot of unnecessary complicated words, no feedback, no info for UI, got confused and missed the goal of all this

Not sure my message is understandable, but I hope you get the idea :) I'd really like this game to be good !

Thank you for the great feedback. We are striving to make this game good and it is encouraging to hear all of this constructive feedback. We have many improvements in the works and will be using everything here to help inform future features:

- Will improve the cargo limit slider (next update)
- Preview of the in-game guide is in as a technical test for guide-links and tooltips
- Will be evaluating moving up the timetable on save/load (will include Steam save integration)

Also, once the in-game guide is complete we will be revisiting the objectives and where to add more pulsing indicators.

Quick update:

The cargo limit issue ended up being a bug. It should be fixed now (uploading now) and also allows clicking the arrows for fine tuning or dragging the numbers up/down for quicker setting.

Update:
- Graphics options are now available
- Objectives got a rework
- Save/Load has been implemented
