Even if they release a new version with some slightly improved content (it won't be MUCH better than Versus) it will probably be way overpriced for a long time just like Versus has been up until now, and we may regret not getting this when we had the chance.
By the time Rising gets cheap it'll probably be ok to get it.
Also meanwhile we'll have Relink.
99% unlikely since Rising is a sequel.

I am the patient game FTW!
I got injustice 2 base game and got burned
This sounds like a real silly thing to worry about.
Rising a new separate release. Believing otherwise is cope.
Why would it be silly? It's happened before.
Games are delisted because of things like licensing issues and things that don't apply to this game in particular.
SEGA de-listed Sonic 1, 2, 3, and CD when Origins came out. Pinball FX2 was de-listed when FX3 came out, and that's a game that lives off of DLC. Also dozens if not hundreds of examples of an original game being de-listed when a remaster/updated version comes out, happens often with fighters.
