Beelzebub instakill
Why does he instakill me, and why can't I defend or dodge that whole screen worth of barrage? It's 2020 and we still get ♥♥♥♥♥♥ arcade final bosses like this

I can beat Beelzebub even on Nightmare.

I'm not trolling when I say this because I found a few easy ways to beat him.
His projectiles can be dodged easy and you can close in to start hitting him.
If you play Ferry or Narmaya like me, you can attack BB and cut his projectiles.

If he jumps he's either throwing more projectiles which are just the same except he's shooting from midair, or he's going to perform a dive attack when you can block or dodge or in some cases dragon upper cut him. Narmaya has two good upper cuts for this, one being a parry for both high and mid attacks. Ferry has the crouch Heavy attack which is a good anti air.

If you play characters that have projectiles then take a note from Lancelot and throw an EX projectile and run behind it so you can close the distance.

Some character can also tank through attacks like Vaseraga or Ladiva.

BB has some strong supers. Usually easy to block but the moment he activates his 30% Super you want to be as far away from him as possible. Quickly dash for a side of the screen and crouch block because the 30% super does a lot of chip damage enough to bring your health down by 45%.

The match ups for online Beezlebubs I can't help with as I haven't fought any yet and require a different mindset.

I hope my advice helps you.

Arcade Beelzebub has a very predictable moveset. If you main a character who can parry (Narmaya, for example), make use of that. Take advantage of characters' anti air as well, as well as attacks that disables projectiles (like Narmaya's sheathed 236). Online Beelzebub is a different story, as that depends on player skills.

I just realized I could block the instakill. all is fine in the world, I might have pressed a button before doing so thus canceling the block which resulted in me getting destroyed. Still a very cheap attack and one of the main reason why 2D fighters always have crappy arcade modes.

If you're complaining about the Beelzbub fight at the end of RPG Mode, this fight is your standard DPS Check. You need to deal a ton of damage in the shortest amount of time before he instakill you and your partner. This is standard RPG stuff. If you're struggling with this, you have two options:

1. Grind past levels for more trash weapons to upgrade your strongest weapon grids

or

2. Get with someone online who is OP in stats and weapon grids that they can stop the instakill in just a few short hits

There is no other option.

As for arcade mode, he's predictable with his moves for the most part. Just keep at it (I can't give advice on this because I've only watched other people play nightmare mode Beelz....I never played through it myself).

It's blockable, so just block.

Beelzebub on RPG, I doubt anyone would actually struggle with that considered by that point players will have already learned how to use weapon upgrades, and support skills.

I beat that on my first try using Narmaya and Vaseraga AI.

Its too obvious players can learn a lot playing this especially since each mission rewards a lot of stuff. If you kept getting weird elemental weapons in your early play through your likely going to figure out how to use them one way or another. Plus using the tickets to get golden weapons is good. No need for trash weapons when I get a few gold weapons which I can then buy duplicates from the shop to further upgrade one weapon and make my character more powerful.

Yeah because Devil Kazuya and the like are so fair, eh.

I seem to miss the part where she said 2D fighters always have crappy modes. I disagree.
I'd say since arc is specialized with 2D fighters, all their current games including Granblue is not crap.
Beelzebub is not as cheap as you think compared to Shao Kahn who is practically unfair compared to any boss from an ARC game.

And like the person in the previous comment said, Devil Kazuya is not fair. Neither is Inferno from Soulcalibur 6 on Legendary Arcade, or Alpha 154 from DOA 4 and 5. These games I mention are 3D fighters and the bosses are far more frustating compared to Beelzebub.

For the record, Beelzebub is designed not to be too cheap considered he is meant to be a playable character and the supers he has in his arcade boss fight and rpg boss fight are practically gone.

This means Beelzebub players still have to use their brain cells to be good at playing the character since most people would know how to beat him form fighting him on the arcade and RPG (that is if that played the final boss fight more times along with the arcade and didn't just say screw it and play only online by that point, which I would say I'd expect better from people who can think rationally)
