ASW just keeps their head in the sand and thinks their netcode is good. It's sort of frustrating that people have directly talked to the developers about adding rollback and why it's the better choice only to get sandbagged.
The game doesn't have anything to do with Guilty Gear, other than the graphics being very anime-like. If you ask me, Gran Blue versus reminds me a lot of USFIV, without all the annoying plinks, bad graphics, and failed mechanics that USFIV had.
Other than that, if you really want a GBV x GG comparison, GBV doesn't have air-dashes nor roman-cancels. You can't spam special moves all the time in GBV, like it was possible in GG. And you can only spam normals under the right spacing/distance, else you're probably going to get punished. I remember that in GG things were much worse regardings to Normal and Special Moves spam, both due to the nature of the game & the roman-cancel mechanics.
As far as the netcode goes, Gran Blue has better netcode. I was able to play pretty much everyone on my region, something which was terrible in GG's version.
GBFV shares more similarities with GGxrd than GG Strive.
♥♥♥♥ Daisuke.
GBVS also comes equipped with anti-frustration features, like a guard button that makes it easier to block crossups. Blocking doesn't have dead angles or faultless defense, so you have to block and consider spacing more in this game.
Slower paced maybe, but might be nice for people who can't keep up with Guilty Gear's speed.
I hope you wrong sir. Long live GBFV
