okay then let me rephrase: Everybody should have a guardbreak ability or combo.
I wouldn't say everyone has a guard break but have a block meter of some sort like in other fighting games. I think there's one in blazblue or guilty gear, some other arcsys game but it would make blocking in granblue easier to stop

Honestly it's not like blocking prevents anything, chip damage in this game can kill if you pressure your opponent enough. But I think OP just wants a way to prevent your opponent from turning into and MvC block fest
Apparently Guard Break is neccesary, cause you cannot open people up.
You know what might help with this?
Learning footsies and da way to open people up, in my case the way of the grab.
You can mixup all you want. Basically everything is reactable. So ppl can and will turtle up, no matter what mixups you use.
You can go very far just with doing low/High/throw mixups.
Or use movement as bait option.
There are a lot of ways.
