What is your favorite and least favorite CtM ending?

Let's be honest, we all have our preferences and reasons for it. And this is also likely to be spoilerific (Although let's be honest, not a surprise)

My most favorite would probably have to be either Toppat King, with how the Toppats get to have a happy ending (Even Reginald and RHM becoming the organization's best men). I would also count Capital Gains as pretty good, as it establishes Henry and Ellie to be a dastardly criminal duo, in posession of a tank no less.


Least favorite would have to be Revenged. While it definitely was quite satisfying with some of the failure options (Best one being Spirit Form), it did lead to a very downer ending with Henry having a canonical death, along with the Toppats. It wasn't sad like Valiant Hero where it did tug at your heartstrings, but more downer due to how it leaves an unsatisfactory feeling. So no Reginald, revenge wasn't worth it.

.. I think it is safe to say that Henry Stickmin managed to do a revenge plot a whole lot better than some other game that tried making a revenge plot, but failed.

just the cliffhanger and the "admitedly minor reason" when i was playing the collection i was wondering if ellie was actually gonna "remember that" and yet TCW is the only GI route where she does i kind of wished she made more appearances in CEO FM and JB even if it does not make the most sense

TRIPLE THREAT is the absolute best Completing the Mission variant. Henry, Charles and Ellie all play extremely well off each other, working together to take down the Toppats once and for all. It's extremely heartwarming seeing the three of them together like this, with Ellie outright stating she wants to do more like it in the future. A close second would have to be "Special BROvert Ops" for how Henry and Charles are such absolute bros to the end. I put "TT" over "SBO" purely because of Ellie's presence, elevating things just that much more.

And yeah, Toppat Civil Warfare just plain hurts to play through, especially if you've done "Convict Allies" and the CtM variants that come off from it beforehand. Seeing Ellie as a vengeful woman scorned seeking to take her revenge on Henry and turning almost the entire Toppat Clan against him just HURTS. And it has quite plainly the least conclusive ending of all the CtM variants, where it's implied that Henry and his three loyalists are going to try to take Ellie down and take back the Clan? At least "Revenged" put an absolute conclusion to the series!

And on that point, I honestly have to say that you're WRONG about "Revenged". Yes, revenge is hollow, and that's the POINT of that storyline. Henry's screwed over everyone he's ever known, and it bit him hard at The Wall when Reggie betrayed Henry in turn. Now, Henry's all on his own again, trying to get back at the people that betrayed him, even after he'd ALREADY betrayed the Government back in Airship. Of COURSE Henry's missed his chance for a happy ending; he has no friends, no reason to continue. Even if he killed Reggie and got away with it, what does he do now? The Wall will likely try to hunt him down, any surviving Toppats would likely try to take him out, and he's still a fugitive from his own Government! There's no way out anymore for Henry. At least "Revenged" puts a solid conclusion to all major plotlines.

Triple threat is my favorite mostly because it was my first ending I played on completing the mission and I am nitpicking and bias. Least favorite, Toppat civil war. TCW is too short and needed to be longer.

Special Brovert Ops is the best, with Toppat king as a runner up, and Revenged is my least favorite, while toppat civil war is the worst

My favorite overall is Triple Threat. I love Charles and Ellie so much and they along with Henry make a perfect team.

For honorable mentions, Toppat King and Stickmin Space Resort. Toppat King is the best Toppat-aligned ending for it's hectic nature and satisfying conclusion. Stickmin Space Resort is my favorite neutral ending for how utterly ridiculous it is.

My least favorite is Toppat Civil Warfare. A combination of short length and inconclusive ending make for a scenario that would work as a setup for a sequel... but is utterly unforgivable in what is supposed to be the final game of the series.

i love VH and TT but i hate TCW

I like Revenged most, there's something in the writing I enjoy, and the last music is amazing. The worst, in my opinion, is TCW. I don't like those with Ellie a lot because they free a lot of criminals from the Wall, and I like that faction despite being opposed to Henry. Stickmin Space Resort, Toppat 4 Life, Toppat King (freeing criminals is good if you are one of them), and Valiant Hero are also pretty good endings.

T4L is my favorite ending, and VH its my least favorite ending

My favorite ending would be Triple Threat because Henry gets to be best friends with both Charles and Ellie. I would like to mention that Toppat King is a VERY close second and does not take first place only because Henry betrays Charles.

I have 3 least favorite endings and they are very close, so I will just list all three.

3rd least favorite would be Toppat Civil Warfare ending because I feel like it could have a whole game dedicated to solely that ending and I wish that this ending would be expanded on.
2nd least favorite is the Revenged ending because Henry dies for the final time.
My least favorite ending is the Valiant Hero ending because Charles gets killed and Henry never met Ellie so he has no people close to him to help him with his depression.

My favorite ending would probably have to be Ghost Inmate because the music is really good and then the guards are like: "yeah its smith." My least favorite Is Capital Gains/Little Nest Egg because they are basically resting off of eachother. Capital Gains is Little Nest Egg with Ellie, And Little Nest Egg is Capital Gains without Ellie. This is just my opinion but the game is still good!

My favorite ending would have to be Toppat King. Henry proved himself in the eyes of the clan, gained Reginald's and RHM's respect, got Ellie onboard as his right hand and secured a bright future for the Toppats.

Unlike most other people i also like the concepts of VH, Revenged and Toppat Civil War. It reminds us that things can go horribly wrong and that there won't always be a happy ending. Besides it makes you think about a lot of "what if" scenarios.

As for least favorite ones i think my pick route wise would have to be "Little nest egg" since it's just a solo version of "Capital Gains". It still had it's moments tho so i'm not gonna bash it. Just conclusion wise however i think my least favorite might be "Pardoned Pals". Henry and Ellie spend all this time trying to get to the Toppats so that they can join them but in the last second decide to ditch that because Charles appeared. Also all they did was fire a machinegun for like 5 seconds and after that Galeforce was all like "Oh wow you guys really helped out today, nevermind that you literally went behind our backs last time. Here have a pardon". Don't get me wrong i get the whole "Choose your destiny" thing but that ending felt way too rushed and unrealistic to me.

my favorite ending is CG and LNE because CG is just a good little partner up between Ellie and Henry (not a ship). And for LNE........ because of the
Undertale battle.

For my least favorites, they are VH and TCW. i just dont like VH cause of the death (i dont want to mention who dies:steamsad). For TCW i don't like the fight between Ellie and Henry.

Seriously, VH is arguably a pretty good ending, it's complete and not too ridiculous or overly serious. The death makes it even better, it's tragedy, yes, but that's the point. TCW it's just badly written to make an open ending. Judge it for the quality, not for the character interactions (as long as those don't affect quality)
