How to enter free roam

As the title implies, I'm having trouble finding where I need to go to play free roam, it seem like I've looked everywhere. Any help would be great, thanks!

From the main menu, look at the top where the tabs are and what keys or buttons it shows to scroll through them. On keyboard it's F3 and F4. Use the Singleplayer tab, then select Compound, then 450, 250 East, or 250 West. On the Race Options tab you can select a variety of options. Note that under Race Options it says Freeroam.

I get it if you're upset that this is not true freeroam, because I don't think it really is either.
