Games trash
"There was a problem saving the team colors. Please try again."
"There was a problem saving the arena. Please try again."
"There was a problem saving the uniforms. Please try again."
Are you kidding me? How many more times do I need to try saving my work? The more 2K screws up their games, then the more negativity they will get for it from displeased people like me. As if there aren't enough displeased people out there already about this company.
say can't save try again
I was going to buy NBA2K20 since there is no basketball right now because of this pandemic. Unfortunately all the negatives I've read about MyGM this year are unbelievable.
The thing I enjoyed doing most was customizing a roster and giving myself a ridiculously good team with guys on ridiculously good contracts for long amounts of time. Then I'd trade the fodder for picks so I could get top tier draft picks despite winning the championship.
The fact you can't even play with a custom roster this year is absurd! I just wanted to play MyGM and be left alone. All this nonsense about action points and games take points to play and you have to constantly coddle your players etc.
At least in 2k18 you still had some control and the stupid story only ruined the first season which you could simulate through if you wanted to and then start over and keep your level.
The final straw that made me decide not to purchase this game is that I found out you can no longer simulate through a certain date on the calendar. You can only end a week and doing so causes problems since you don't play the 'dating sim' part of the game.
Also, there's no option to simulate a game in MyGM without having to start it first. What is this nonsense? What I used to do back in 2k18 is I'd simulate games and then if it was close during the 4th quarter I'd take over and finish off the game. If I cruised to an easy victory I'd let the simulation finish.
Now I have to start every game as if I want to play it normally, then wait for all the intro non-sense to finish so I can simulate it to the end, with the quick simulation mode. Why would you take that away from a season franchise mode?
Did you never consider that people might want to simulate the first 3/4ths of the game to setup an epic 4th quarter comeback or an epic attempt at one at least?
Also, by simulating the first 3 quarters I was able to avoid all the pre-game and half-time nonsense which takes too long.
I'm just glad I was able to talk to someone I know about this years game, before I wasted my money on it. I doubt I would've been able to find all these issues inside of the time they give you to return the game.
So thank you to everyone who has called attention to the dating sim that MyGM has become. I'll never play My Career or My Team, because I suck at this game and I don't want to bother trying to excel at it. I just want to play on easy mode against the computer and be left alone while I dominate, lol.
Even if I was a millionaire I don't think there are enough MyTeam advantages I could buy to allow me to compete with the people who actually know how to play this game.
P.S. In 2k18 I never even used the right stick, lol.
