SO IT IS POSSIBLE!!! all these people saying online doesnt work SMH. i get it....2k sucks... but i boycotted last year and the year befores games (check my games list if you dont believe me) but its been long enough. i wanna get it and everyone i ask on steam says onlines broken....and the single player sucks....but offline people say its fine. ive made 2 forums asking everyone if online has gotten better NO RESPONSE.

I ended up buying it on the xbox and its great. Haven't had any issues online. I had it on the PC last year, and it was hard finding games online.

Other than the bugs and online...this is the best version of the game. the game is the best multiplayer experince there is (IMO) on PS4 and XBONE...For PC its fun too.....alota micro trans actions but damn is it good when its working....most of the time VERY LITTLE LAG. So the game is fine once you get online....the problem is that there are a ton of glitches....and that alot of the players judge you NOT based on your talent or shot percentage, nor by what you hold your man to.....but in this order..... your overall, what gear you have on, record, how many points you score a game. so what ends up happening is a player like me who DOMINATES every opponent becuase i was a 2k fiend on PS4 for years PLUS was actually really good at the game, can only find games with idiots and although ill go 5-5 with 9 rebounds every game, im playing with people who legitimitly win 8% of there games.....ive managed to find a few dudes who figured out that im good to play with (they have records of 1599-65 but becuase they "guard them" and wont play without a garenteed bad opponent.

I just bought this because it has Coop/split screen and can be played via Remote play. Still downlaoding it but I hope that works well.

Honestly, this game online is just more of a waiting game than actually having fun, and online is the entire point of this game. Whats the point playing in the park when nobody accepts you for being low rep even if you're 90 ovr. Even if you get in a game on pc you're bombarded with horrible fps and lag that has nothing to do with pc hardware, just the inconsistent servers. And let's not talk about how bad these guys are, imagine ducking low rep players only to actually play worse than them. If anyone wants to squad up and actually play the game lmk, because this game is just a pisstake by yourself.

bruh, just don't even get invested in this community. Save yourself the stress and play something that isn't animation based. The animations are such a bail out that people don't bother learning how to play basketball the right way. They just look for mechanics to exploit and 2k allows it because they know their target audience on the lower end of the spectrum. And omg, you are so right about people avoiding low ranks then being utter trash themselves... I rather play with new guys because they are more willing to work as a team vs some dude who spam dribbles and tries to do everything himself. It's such a pathetic community, I only deal because I like the sport but lately even that hasn't been enough. I just stick to the offline stuff at this point (even though they cater the ai to preventing cheesers from earning too much VC), the game hate people who try to play right anyway because they are harder to squeeze money out of. I'm pretty sure I've had micro strokes playing this game just because of how frustratingly terrible and selfish people can be. I rather a newbie make mistakes because they are learning instead of having some Elite Legend Superstar 8 99.9 overall guy constantly do they same dribble pattern and shoot regardless of the situation then green it because otherwise he would rage quit and thus lower 2ks income potential. Joke of a game, I can't stress that enough. A microcosm of everything wrong in the world.

Couldn't be more accurate tbf. I really wanted to get into this game since i love bball and watching guys on youtube was fun as hell but man oh man it looks like freestyle 2 is better than this loool

If you really need a sports fix I recommend PES. Specifically PES 18 (heard mix things about the newer titles). It's one of the only sports games that doesn't have any type of system in it that makes bad players good just to keep them in the game. I mean of course it does have it's moments where it can cheat but even those moments are manageable if you take things slow. It's so sad how all these newer sports games only aim to give an illusion of competitiveness while having algorithms that constantly cheat for one person. That's probably why PES ain't too popular because you have to actually know the sport and can't cheese any single mechanic.

Freestyle 2 actually got a decent community too and there isn't really any mechanics that can be abused nor do they have any type of "momentum" system... if you bad then you just bad. 2k is amazing when it plays fair but that's hardly ever at this point.

Yeah PES is a shout, although it'll never be popular as long as fifa is out though. Fifa 20 is actually decent and volta with my mates is fun as hell, but man I'm tired of EA. I just want a game to play with randoms that aren't toxic and have some common sense but here we are in 2020 still without a game with a decent community that caters to a sport genre. This is why it's much better to play with friends but that's hard for me since they don't have the same games & in terms of this game nobody wants to squad up with a low rep player who can't even increase their rep without playing games. Like cmon, I'm legit never gonna get myrep levelled at all.

2k20 servers on pc

i played a lot on ps4 but now i made the switch to pc, was wandering how the servers are, are the parks full, can you get games in the 5v5 pro am and rec, does it take forever to find a game in myteam, anyone who could help would be much appreciated bc i dont wanna pay for a game which is almost dead

hell no, the game is full of cheaters and steam/2K does nothing about it. They are not getting my $ ever again. The reason why its like this is because they are incapable of stopping cheaters. I have seen Ronnie 2k on his twitch say something like " its equal across the platform"... as if everyone is cheating and in reality they are not. I feel highly disrespected by this statement with my 8 years of Steam service and 0 VAC bans. They simply don't know how to code or we would have a descent game. His comments make me feel like its my fault that I play on PC and have no legit servers. This company has no respect for PC users whatsoever, and the game feels like it was made by a group of 13 yr old kids. Need proof? Galaxy Opal Bol Bol

Players with xtra long arms, legends, mascots plague our game. Yet, people just play basketball while these hackers walk around in the park and get 20 points a game.. like its a normal everyday thing. Its a sad topic that NEEDS to be addressed, this community is the worst I have ever seen in any game.
This is 2020 not 1995 anymore ..2K is living in the dark ages allowing cheaters. PC format is king and always has been, but they want the easy path and only build their game for console. Then PC users get a crap ported version. Many many other companies have figured it out. It's not like cheating thrives like this in other games. This company is delusional and tries to push false values like they are not at fault.

They keep releasing updates, but are oblivious to the fact the reason why most of us are on PC is so we can obliterate a console. To this day still exists bugs in 144Hz mode. MyCareer games STILL will not let you substitute back in while the game is set to 144Hz forcing you to play in 60Hz. Proving again they have no clue what they are doing. Some simple quality testing for PC platform will easily recognize this problem.
