MyPlayer name disappearing from Jersey and Menus/HUD

The name of My MyPlayer just disappeared. Jersey's empty and in every menu its just blank.
Anybody else got this problem?

Yes, all 4 times.
On the first two I tested the player after creation, not even their names appeared.
From the last two I went straight to the beginning of My Career, skipping story part. The first time he had no name either, the second time he had. So I left and went to test my main save, nothing.
I still intend to try a few more times, since it is clearly quite random. But I don't have much hope that this will solve the problem in the main save.

create it once more go than in to the myc soon as u are in ur carrer exit to main menu, than delet the new player and the new myc file .... as that how it did it as it the same bug as it was in 19

Well, I tried two more times, nothing.

I had this problem in 19 too, it worked there at first. I don't remember with the name or the appearance.

Three times the name appeared on the new save, the three times I wrote using the joystick instead of the keyboard. I don't know if that made a difference or not, but the observation remains.

Same problem here.

What I suspect is happening is that when you create your player and initially enter the name, then go to the Test Build function, it wipes your names from the saved build. Unfortunately, you can't use Edit Build to check, because that involves backing up to the first screen of the build, wiping out all your skills allocations and so on. However, when you use the saved build to start a new MyCareer, it uses the saved version with no first or last name.

My suspicion is that if you go straight to create your player with testing or editing your build, there are no problems, but if you use either of the functions they have provided for their intended purposes, you end up with no name. If true, it's incredible that testing did not pick this up.

The automated response to my support ticket suggests creating a new player and entering the last name first, which obviously doesn't solve the issue for existing players (and if my suspicion about the cause of the bug is correct, wouldn't solve that either - it didn't when I tried it).

Having invested 100,000 VC into my nameless player, if I don't either get a method for fixing my player name (either through new in-game function or manual support change) or restoration of spent currency I will be submitting a refund request for this game.

I'm gonna try what they've said now (although I'dont think this will change anything beacause in any new save file the right name appears on the jersey it just doesn't convert to my first player)
I've also seen in one menu (character customisation - NBA On-Court) that it says "First Name" on the Jersey of my nameless player. I'll provide a picture of that for 2K support.
I'll also tell them that when I create a character it often says that the name is inappropriate. (Could have something to do with it...)

I also told them that it has something to do with their "name is inappropriate" filter. I sent them a video showing that my name is missing. I also told them, that I already tried the last name / first name fix on another savegame, but the name does not carry over.
We will just have to wait on a fix which most likely comes with the first patch, because I doubt that they can do much about it.

Im nearly 100% certain that it is caused by the filter, which filters the name after you continued with your player build.

I tested something - I've put my name in three times and the filter message came up, but at my fourth try the filter did not came up. I continued but then went back to check for my name - and it wasnt there anymore.

The putting your last name in and then first name last does not work. They are just throwing possible fixes at us that worked in NBA 2K19 but clearly are not working in NBA 2K20. Lazy support is just wasting our time until the dev team comes up with a patch fix. Its really annoying how 2K support is useless. Nice people, but completely wasting our time.
