TakeOver bar empties right away?!

So I'm not sure if this is a glitch or what, but every time I get my takeover filled I panic , because if I don't use it right away, any mistake I do just empties it instantly..
Just 2 minutes ago, I had it filled and decided to wait a bit, I missed a layup and it just emptied to 0 in 1 go... Does that make sense??

That's normal, if you miss or loose the ball, you loose it.

For me its not misses that makes me loose the takeover bar, its bad shots.

yeah the takeover should be team dependend and not only on your side. It's a nice feature, but I think it needs to be overhauled. Maybe they need something in between the old orange juice team mate connection paired with what we have now to make the system useful. Should somehow be connected to team / player to player chemistry. Would also be cool to have a feature back to form a big 3 and mentors like in previous years. But I guess we need to wait for future 2k versions to see any changes unfortunately...

you need toii load it full for teamtakeover! and your takeovertyp decides how you fill and fast loose it. brakesand timeouts are also killer for it

Thanks for all the input guys.. But it doesn't make sense that you spend several minutes of excellent play building it up, and 1 mistake empties it fully... Like why can't it drop gradually if you take a bad shot, just like it builds up gradually..
