Delay when shooting

Guys, i have some problems with delay when im shooting. I have wi-fi connection and i think that problem in that and if i change connection to cable it will be better. Y'all have any thoughts ?

My WiFi seems OK but if you can try ethernet it might lower your ping a bit yeah.

Also are you using an nvidia gfx card? Someone posted this on reddit :

"ok, if it can help you and if you are playing on pc, there is a new feature that Nvidia release. It's Low Latency Mode, it reduces the latency in-game but you will still get some online input lag due to the server quality (it's more about your computer performance). For me, it kinda makes it better. If you want to use it, go to Nvidia control panel, then manage 3D settings, you will see global settings or program settings, choose program settings, add NBA 2K20 and search for the Low Latency Mode."

The servers are notoriously horrible and have been for years. This is one of the biggest complaints. Online modes for all systems suffer latency. The best suggestion I've heard is learn to shoot by watching your motion instead of the bar. Good luck.

Hmmm. In park i saw many players that green everything on the same server as me. So they green this with the motion ??

A lot of people have committed the timing to muscle memory. Practice, practice, practice. Know exactly when to release the ball. Watch your hands, not the bar If you're playing in the Park or Rec and you're watching the bar you'll have an incredibly hard time getting greens.

He is 100% correct about timing instead of watching the actual meter, that will throw you off.. But in general, the park doesn't have much lag at all when shooting imo.. The only place I notice it is rec/proam.. In that case the shots are VERY laggy and you really need to get a feel for the muscle memory of the shot.. ie: I let go of my free throw meter when it is 55-60% full to try and get a green.
