Controller Disconnecting Glitch?

When I try to play this game, every now and then, my controller will disconnect momentarily before reconnecting. I never have this problem with my other games on Steam, but for some reason, this game will just automatically pause itself as my controller disconnects/desyncs, and then reconnect for no reason. My controller is wired, btw, so it's not a wireless problem. Does anyone how to fix this?
