Opinion on strongest char to play in game

I dont consider this a discussion about characters in the series itself as things change their over time but in the game. From my experience after 100% a lot of the characters so far Kaido is deifnitly the strongest character. Right after him is Whitebeard

The three giants are the top three IMO. Just being able to hit more things at once and easily break enemies puts them above others.

I think they all have their strengths; white beard is decent all round, kaido has the xxyyy that hits everything in front of you really quickly, big mom's lightning strike special doing stupid amount of damage, etc.

Overally I'd say Kaido strongest, but Big Mom is the funnest out of the 3 to play as for me.

I just dont enjoy big mom due to her being the slowest out of the three. They could balanced it better by giving smaller chars more skill slots easily. Because all other chars except the three easily get thrown off by enemies

Big Mom is slow and her AOE normal attacks are weak compared to Kaido and WB, but her specials hit like a truck, even more so if you have Giant Fist/Peerless Strength/Cheat Death equipped. I give her the edge over the other 2 giants since her XYYY restores her health.

A tier below them is Ace, who for some reason does absurd damage against giants only.

Thats viable. BTW any of you guys up to play some of the new world treasure log levels? I wanna farm the last two levels I havent finished and get more coins to get all chars to 100% complete but its more fun to play together

if u suck at the game then yea the big giants r OP but for skilled ppl i'd say ace and carrot r the top.

What kind of BS are you talking about? This has nothing to do with being a skilled player. The reasons are stated why the three giants are just leagues above the rest.

the giant characters are better because they don't get knocked back and have a much better shield break - so you have more Skill slots you can use otherwise

everyone will say that ace and katakuri r way better then any giant in this game unless u havn't played it at all. even lots of "tier lists" online say this.

I have played 50 hours so far and I can tell you that especially Kaido is just way more effective to use. Yes Katakuri is faster then Kaido but besides from that, his basic Y move is way weaker then Kaidos. The giants are just stronger and thus easier to use. Your logic makes no sense. You cant even play any of the three giants if you havent played the game.

kaido-big mom-whitebeard are the best chars in the game. And just after them, i will put akainu (he's a monster, a lot of damage and AOE), luffy and kizaru

I have some regrets with a part of the roaster: for example, fujitora was easily a top 3 char in pirate warriors 3, and now he's pretty weak, law (god he does no damage in this game) and aokiji was stronger too in pw3. And we have some good suprises like ace, he's way more stronger in this game.

So yes, this is my top of the best chars in pw4:

1: kaido
2: big mom
3: whitebeard
4: akainu
5: luffy
6: kizaru


I can make some special mentions to certain characters like katakuri, crocodile, shanks, blackbeard, ace or hawkins (yes boys, i don't know why but some of his spells are making tons of damages). They are really strong but definitly not in the top.

- Teach is S tier : SSST combo makes him a special attacks spammer ( tenacity helps too )
- Cavendish is S tier : main focus is hakuba with concentration and full burst skills
- Mihawk is S tier with tenacity
- Ao kiji ( kuzan ) is S tier : has 3 strong specials ( 4 stars ) , fills his specials bar fast , freeze ennemies and doesnt flinch on ennemies attacks
- Zoro not making it to rank S cause his specials are slow ( to launch and to end !! ) and moving the camera after each one is a pain

Kidd and Fujitora need rework, for Kidd better air/ground combo and specials attack are so slow , fujitora combo lack the feeling of the meteors wrath/power

I like that tierlist except for Franky. His best supers all have a small hitbox and his normal attacks are also lackluster, what makes you say he is in A tier?
