most likely because they skipped most of the stuff where he was still pre-timeskip.
Speaking of which, who the ♥♥♥♥ thought it was a good idea to skip Thriller Bark? An arch where they RECRUITED A NEW MEMBER TO THE CREW

they even skipped a lot of post timeskip - no Fishmen Island, no Punk Hazard, no Impel Down

If they does a what if story they are free to create an own story but if they want to tell the Manga / Anime story than it's just bad to cut out complete Arcs

Yeah, plus there's no reason to cut out the ones they did, other than East Blue. They should have either started from New World or made a what if story.

There's this thing called limited development time. If you guys want every arc, Pirate Warriors 3 exists. This game is obviously way bigger and better than PW3 and therefore some cuts had to be made elsewhere; this was done by removing some of the worst arcs PW3 had. Thriller Bark and Fishman Island were the two worst missions in PW3; definitely a good thing they just removed them.

pretty sure the devs are a multi million dollar company, not some indie dev team. They're lazy because they know One Piece fans will buy anything since we're so desperate for games.

You do know that the time it took to make PW1 to PW3 was shorter than it took to make PW3 to PW4, right? This game is terrible, considering how much time it took for the game to finally come out. It's actually insulting that we're expected to wait this long for a clearly rushed, poorly made game.
