How do you get behind enemies?
Everything I've seen about getting through the blockfest of this game is to hit enemies from behind, but even with the Daruma Tumble I can rarely ever manage to get behind an enemy. They always seem to perfectly lock on to me and rotate any time I try to flank them.

quickstep when they attack, its fairly easy to get behind them, i will say the pc port is borked as the animation for quickstepping is halved, theres a mod to fix it, and on consoles the animation is 2x so the quickstep distance is so long youll end up spinning a full 360 around an enemy back to where you started

A lot of enemies like those with guns just don't attack, and rotate perfectly to prevent me from getting behind them.

oh yeah gun enemies dont work like normal ones do, same with the big guys wielding couches, you have to hit them head on, but id say use heat actions or weapons for those specifically

Just feels like most large enemies or boss enemies behave like this, I can rarely ever actually get behind an enemy without them turning to face me immediately.

1. Quickstep when the enemies attack
2. use komaki parry then walk behind the enemies when they are stunned

Boss enemies can almost never be grabbed.

Some can, but never when they're in Heat state though.

For some bosses I've found that the Lotus Flower Strike (the charged heavy attack) can be surprisingly effective. Sometimes they slowly walk towards you menacingly or keep their distance waiting for you to attack, which gives you time to charge it and, not only does it have decent tracking but, for some reason, the AI seems to have trouble blocking it.

If it lands most bosses will end up flat on their face, which leaves them open for a quick stomp.
