Hidden Blade Hook

Does anyone know how to perform this heat action? I've been searching all over as to why I can't get it to work. I know that I have to face an enemy holding a sword while holding one myself but even then, the heat action is the same three slash that I do on any other enemy. The only answer I got from searching online was that I also had to use a different type of sword that makes Kiryu hold with both hands on an upper stance (like the ornate blade)

But that was from 12 years ago and I assume that was for the original yakuza 3 so either there was some kind of localisation error from the original or this one that doesn't tell me the correct conditions)

Uuuh, I'm not entirely sure but check if that's the one that requires the enemy to attack with their sword?

There is a heat action that does require the enemy to attack with their sword but I learned that from Komaki and it's done barehanded. Though now that you've mentioned it, I'll try doing it when they're about to attack as I hold a sword too

If you go into the "upgrades" menu you can press the button (Y/Triangle on gamepad) to bring up lists of every move you know. Take a look what it says for Hook if you're still having trouble

That was the first thing I checked before going online and asking here. All it said was that I press the Y (Xbox controller) when I'm against an enemy with a sword while holding one myself.

Though I just found out that there is one extra requirement and it is as you say: the enemy has to attack first while I hold a sword as well so thanks for the advice!

Now I just gotta figure out how to do the hammer one where I have to press the button while holding a hammer near a wall. Been doing that a few times already but it just plays the same animation regardless of whether im near a wall

Fly swatter is tough because it takes so gosh darn long to take the hammer out. Stock up on tauriner in case you lose heat and keep trying is my best idea.

That isnt a problem for me. I'm already near the end of the game (chapter 10) and I usually just keep my distance when i wanna bring out the hammer. The problem is that the animation is not playing and I've already tried making the enemy near the wall (like the bike heat move in previous games). Put myself near a wall and a bit of both yet the animation for that move is not playing and just does the same 3 bonk hits
