Funnily enough, it works fine on Yakuza 4.
Step 1: limit framerate to 30
Step 2: Go 4 steps to the left
Step 3: Aim all the way to the right
Step 4: Go for the highest power meter. Upon switching to 30fps, I would constantly get 98 which is great.
Step 5: Spin the ball all the way to the left.
Results were beautiful, I actually managed to get a strike in EVERY SINGLE ROUND with this method.
If direction / power is a little off - you get 9/Spare with the leftmost pin standing. In one of my attempts I got seven(!) 9/Spares.

And then this guy doesn't put up a fight at all... https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2382886116
Shameful that most of these issues can be half-solved with limiting framerate to 30fps or increasing rendering to 200%... I remember Bowling in the very beggining when doing Haruka's Requests and getting my ass handed to me due to weird physics in Bowling...

Pool it's a different story...
For what it's worth, here was my successful strategy:
Set FPS Cap to 30 and the speedhack to 0.25 (I recommend assigning a hotkey to it in the options).
Move four ticks (so two markers) to the left.
Activate the speedhack and aim one tick to the right of the middle line, this should aim ever-so-slightly on the left of the second-row pin.
Get 98 power and 3 ticks of spin to the right (so the second line is half-saturated). Deactivate speedhack.
The speedhack shouldn't actually matter (I hope) but it makes the reaction time four times longer than normal (you will have to hold the button a bit and get used to the delay).
That tuna can go ♥♥♥♥ itself, along with the whole Fishing mini-game.
Anyone else who just can't get this method to work for them? Can't get consistent strikes like this.
yep, hasnt been working for me.
been bowling for probably a total of maybe like 4 hours, so it might just be me, but it hasn't changed much.
What worked for me was moving to the dot 2nd furthest to the left, aiming directly between the center pin and the one directly to the left of it, and hitting it with a power of 98 on average, usually gave me a strike or left one pin on the end that was easy to knock out, also i was playing capped at 30fps. Dunno if this'll help but it worked out for me in the end, hang in there.
