Answer x Answer is a Japanese version of the "pub quiz" video terminals and is tuned to be challenging for folks with native-level knowledge.
This is leaving aside the fact that it uses custom animated sprites rather than a system font for text, so even simply translating it would have been a disproportionate amount of work compared to fighting / racing / shooting arcade games which have minimal text & in many cases existing English versions that could be used.
Also, while this wasn't the main change I have in mind when talking about this, I know someone will try this argument somewhere in this thread - the Michiru content being removed was in the Japanese versions of the remasters as well, but if you believe that the localization team had no influence in that being the case you're delusional. Might as well say the SMTxFE censorship is acceptable because the japanese version of the switch port had it because Atlus was too lazy to port two versions.
This is the guy that said he will add things to his games even if the company hates him for it.
