Legend mode without a Hard run?
I'm wondering if anyone has figured out a way to just do a Legend run without first doing Hard mode? I guess I'm not too opposed to doing two runs but I wonder if I can do two NG+ back to back? I would prefer just doing a Legend run, even if it's without NG+ but doing the story twice more is more than I care to do tbh.

You should be able to just replace the system.sys file in
??:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\userdata\?????\1088710\remote
https://ufile.io/15r79aiq
or
just copy and paste the binary into your own file (or new file) and make sure to back up yours just in case

Make sure to check your settings to make sure it changed nothing

With hard being what it is I can't see doing legend from scratch being anything but tedious. Probably need a complete game file to access it.

Don't really know the way to unlock it early, but this should be the least tedious method.

1. Beat the game normally and finish all substories on that save file or in premium adventure

2. Golden Gun your way through HARD mode in NG+, should take you around 3 to 4 hours.

3. You unlocked LEGEND.

yeah that was my plan, i think there was an ini "hack" for K1 to unlock Legend iirc, just wondering if anyone found anything. I hate to cheese the game like that, I would rather just have a full playthrough at my own pace but if I have to do it 2 more times then idk.

you can grab a hard mode file thats near the end and just play that to get legend.
I would have done that but I can't find any, didn't look all that hard but I still googled it.

I feel you

I completely forgot about that, and my first run was on easy, now I am on chapter 6 of hard mode in ng+ , after that I will play Legendary. So 3 runs for one game, at this point I will never play Y4, 5 and 6 ahah
I blew through Hard mode today (using golden pistol on mobs and tiger drop on bosses), it took about ~6 hours maybe less avoiding any side stuff and cutscenes, it's actually not that long of a game. I finished the Ultimate Match stuff for all 3 remasters and I gotta say, Yakuza 3 is by far the hardest game overall. The bosses are all gimicky and not really that fun. I think I'm going to come back to it after I play through Yakuza 4 on hard mode. I think Yakuza 5 unlocks Legend on any playthrough.

I'd argue that Kiwami is hardest one.

Y3 was quite a cozy one for me, and I'd go as far to say that 3's Ultimate Match mode is easiest one in the whole series.

The Ultimate Match definitely didn't take as long as Y0 or K1 but my god it was frustrating. The ONLY reason I managed to beat Mack in the running one is because I got in front of him at the black car you get a cutscene for jumping over and he ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ glitched on it and i just kept hitting him for an S rank. I probably ran that thing like 30 times because random NPCs kept getting in the way. Plus there was the Akimoto team match that was extremely frustrating. Yakuza 5's Ultimate Match is a snoozefest compared to this one.

Team Match 1 was the only one that gave me trouble when S ranking. Akimoto was very annoying, but at least the S rank is guaranteed.
Updated OP with workaround if you don't want to do 2 runs. system.sys file is my own so it's clean.
