Game No Longer Launches - Please Help!

So after playing for 120 minutes yesterday Yakuza 3 no longer launches today. I click play and wait a few seconds but nothing happens. Can someone please help me figure out how to fix this?

Considering it worked for over 2 hours and now doesn't, it sounds like it could be a corrupted game or settings file.

Have you already tried verifying the game file integrity? (Right click in Steam, choose Properties, then under the Local Files tab there's the verify integrity button) If a game file is corrupted, this forces Steam to replace it.

If that doesn't work I'd suggest maybe deleting your config file so it goes to defaults and see if it launches. This will NOT affect savedata btw. To do that go to C:/Users/[your name]/AppData/Roaming/Sega/Yakuza3 and either delete or move the files. Next time you launch, the game should recreate them and use default settings.

Just tried both and unfortunately it didn't work for me.

Try restarting steam and your PC. Worked for me.

I uninstalled it now. I'll wait for it to install again, because I already restarted Steam and my PC but it did not work. I last played it 2 days ago, and it was pretty good too, but now this is completely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.

DId you perhaps have some sort of Windows update? They do sometimes mess around with games.

Nope. No updates. Reinstalling the game now.

That really is weird, as far as I know Y3 didn't receive any patches either. I take it you verified game's files already as well, no?

I checked the file integrity, still won't work for me.

I've been having the same problems. Yesterday it worked completely fine, now it boots up to a black screen and then it closes itself. Tried everything mentioned above, and nothing has worked. Really annoyed.
Anyone found a solution yet?

Do other Yakuza remasters work for you though?
