Premium host can't invite non-premium players anymore?
If I'm reading the patch notes right, we can no longer invite free players to game modes like "Grand Reveal"?

Party games like Jackbox and Drawful are typically "the host pays for the game so that everyone else can play for free." This matches real-life expectations of buying a $60 board game so all your friends can play. Telling 20 of your friends "Come play with me, it's free on steam" or "Come play with me, it's $5" is the difference between playing with 20 people, or playing with 2 people.

I'd be OK paying 5 times as much for the game as it was last night, because I had fun playing with my friends. But realistically if everyone has to buy the game for themselves, there's maybe a 30% chance I'll get my friends to play together again, and a 1% chance we'll find more players in the future.

Real bummer but, at least we got to play it once before the change! It was worth $5 for a night of entertainment. Hope you guys consider either rolling this back, or adding a "$20 Super Premium" version of the game so we can host games for our friends.

Aren't there laws about removing someones access to features they paid for and had the reasonable expectation of having. You might want to check that. You might be able to offer something else to someone buying it now but I'm not sure it's legal to rewrite what some already paid for.

This is so true. The premium feature games are useless this way.
