FPS problem

I play on a RTX 4080, 32 gb ram, ryzen 7950HX : even with high settings I have 25 fps, why ?

Lower the graphics. I suggest Low-Medium as that seems the best right now. Devs are aware that people with 4090s even have issues with the game.

I think it has to do w/ being around many other players. But I'm not sure. I'd go from 14fps to 60+ when leaving populated areas. Very confusing.

There is a setting optimiser option that may help. I used it and I haven't encountered any problems yet. Don't worry about putting your settings to medium or low, the game still looks decent enough on those. The higher settings are more of a flex meant for taking photos and making trailers with than anything. Not a lot of PCs can run them well unfortunately.

I have found the problem. Its the shadow quality (beta) option. It was disabled.

I have enabled high shadow quality (beta) and now my fps is far better even if the shadow are better, yes serouisly now I have 60 fps with epic settings. Without the shadow beta enabled, my game has 30fps on high xD.

I think it's the optimisation is not good. So try this option guys.

Same issue, the game is 12 FPS and is not a computer issue.

+1 this, I remember changing this on launch day and noticing my FPS sky rocket.
