They are the same age.
She's called Becks, not Mom.
And she doesn't behave like a mother at all.
Curt is her dad, though. It's subtle, but you can feel it in his choice of words.
Not a very good one.
I can't imagine why anyone would want someone like her around if they didn't have to. She bosses Rani around, talks down to her, guilt trips her... Sounds like Mom to me.
Wait, they're a *couple*?
They can't stand each other.
How does it make any sense that they are females, though? Where are all of the men?
Because the story is about two women? You find it difficult to comprehend that a story can be about two women?
How would that fact change the effect of the character on the player? How would it "redeem" the character?
You ignored my question.
I don't respond well to bigotry.
I don't see any bigotry. I see no references to race or colour. You mean to make the accusation of reverse sexism I gather. I do believe you are trolling and no one should give this post any more traction. Starving trolls is preferable to feeding them. Go back under your bridge or out to sea to fish for chaos.
Whatever you do or do not "respond well to", you are shutting down civil conversation. Which is something that I or anyone else can do just as well as you, by giving an excuse like "I don't like you", "I don't have to talk to hateful people", etc.
But an honest person typically chooses not to do such a thing.
You're confusing racism with bigotry.
Bigotry: "The obstinate and unreasoning attachment of one's own belief and opinions, with narrow-minded intolerance of beliefs opposed to them."
Bigotry encompasses racism, sexism, and any other intolerance and prejudice.
