Can't connect to online services....
I never get the Perfect Team login. I put my pc in the DMZ and have the same issue. Is there a change I need to make in Windows firewall?

We are aware of the issues plaguing some users with connecting to our PT Servers for downloading league updates and tournament files. We believe the issue is a problem with our server not being permitted to send the .zip folder OOTP uses to update the program about leagues and tournaments. Trace files from users have shown us that the program connects to our servers but is being prevented from downloading the correct .zip folder to begin the update process. We are working on our end to figure out if the issue stems from a change regarding our servers. We have a few steps and things to attempt below that may get your issue fixed.

We have noticed that for many users the issue may be stemming from Xfinity's internet and specifically a safebrowsing blocker Xfinity uses. If you are an Xfinity internet customer we would highly recommend you disable the safebrowse.io or xFi advanced security feature on your Xfinity account. https://forums.xfinity.com/t5/Email-Web-Browsing/Unblock-all-websites/m-p/3303661/highlight/true#M215393

For Cox users there is an advanced security feature which is turned on automatically if you have the Cox Panoramic Wifi App installed and configured. It may be similar to what Xfinity uses which caused the outage issues for Comcast users. If you do have the Cox Panoramic Wifi App I would highly recommend following the instructions below to verify that your advanced security settings are reviewed and potentially turned off. Again these are advanced security measures that run on top of the default filters and firewalls that are put in place by your IP.

1-From the Cox Panoramic Wifi App, tap More.
2-From the More Options screen, tap My Services.
3-Below the Advanced Security section, select Disable and follow the onscreen prompts.

If neither of those two options above apply to you we do have other things to review in case there are other programs or issues causing your connection drops to our servers.

1-We highly recommend that any/all anti-virus, firewalls, or monitoring programs you have on your computer whitelist OOTP as exceptions to being restricted. BitDefender is a known program we use as an example that will actually halt the access OOTP has to not only the internet but also to your files and hard drive. It and programs like it can cause some issues with OOTP.

2-We also advise making sure that you in addition to the first step run your game as administrator (if you are a win OS user). Running the game as administrator is quite easy to setup. For steam users follow these instructions. Go to your steam library, right click on the OOTP 21 program, and select properties. On the local files tab under properties go to view local files. That will bring up the location of your OOTP21.exe file that steam runs. We need to right click on that .exe and go to properties and under the compatibility tab we can choose to run this program as an administrator.

3-Due to the fact that some users have seen issues with Card faces when opening packs I also highly recommend the deletion of 2 folders from your OOTP game. They will come back after you open the game once again so you won't be in any harm to remove these folders from your computer.

The first folder we need to delete is your Online_Data folder which can be found where the game is installed under your data folder. The usual location of this folder is either C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Out of the Park Baseball 21\data\online_data if you are a steam user or C:\Program Files (x86)\Out of the Park Developments\OOTP Baseball 21\data\online_data if you are a standalone (FastSpring) user.

The second folder we recommend to delete is all of your PT save game folders. These are located in your saved_games folder and all end in .pt. These are all folders the game has to download and create when it loads your PT team and the league you are playing in each week. We recommend clearing those just so the server has to redownload those files just in case something got messed up on that end and the server is having issues due to that folder.

4-We have had users tell us that security features on their modem may also be a cause for the issue and that restarting their modem seemed to help the issue. We don't believe that will be a long term fix but for the current time it may allow you to at least get an update to your PT accounts. In addition to this if your modem or router have updates we do highly recommend updating them to the latest firmware.

We will continue to try and get this issue resolved both on our end and users ends. Thank you for your patience as we try and figure out what has been changed that caused the sudden disconnection.

Thanks
Alex

I can't even log in to the PT servers as I get the error message. I have never been able to log in to the PT server. I will try running the game as Administrator. Any chance you can give me the server info ? Then I can try to connect via the command line. I have CenturyLink fiber, not Comcast or Cox. Will let you know how running as Admin works shortly.
Thanks

Running as Administrator didn't help. The only anti-virus I have is the stock Windows Defender.

Turning off "Real-time protection" and "Cloud-delivered protection" didn't help either.

For whatever reason it has been working the last 3 days. Thanks
