Why is there only 1 background?
The application is great from what i can see, especially since it's free.

Why is the only background available acolyte?

This seems an awesome tool, but it's kind of unusable for my purposes at the moment. additionally, there is very limited Races and Classes.
Of all tools I've tried to use, most of them do not have the Mountain Dwarf race and Artificer class, which is infuriating.
Then again, I cannot complain as it is free.

I presume it would also be illegal for people (such as myself) to upload XML files to, for example, a public github repo.

Yea it would technically be pirating. I'm not the biggest fan of the WotC business model of making everyone buy the content multiple times, but at the end of the day it's their stuff and their decision.

That being said, there are probably XML compendiums from programs like fight club 5e still floating around the internet. I don't support or condone pirating that material, but I can't stop anyone from importing it because the files are same format tons of people started using for their homebrew.
