About Gala Entries

Every once in a while, we play host to a "Gala," which is an in-game and/or community event which involves one or more Mondrian Maker Challenges, usually around a theme. Everyone is invited to participate as long as you own Mondrian - Plastic Reality in order to submit your Mondrian Maker creation!

Qualified Challenge submissions will receive a "Wood Frame" version of their thumbnails, which users are free to add as extra images to their Workshop uploads. In order to qualify, submissions must meet the General Rules below.

General Rules

• Submissions must be set as Publicly Visible and the Creation Type set to Gala Entry before the submission deadline.
  
• Submissions must not be a one-to-one/near duplicate, or resubmission of another user's, or a Lantana Games creation. IE do not reupload someone else's content. This is left up to Lantana Games' and the judges' discretion. Derivative works are fine, and use of a template alone to create a derivative work does not count as duplication.
  
• You MAY enter a previously-submitted level of your own into a Gala if you feel it fits the theme of the challenge, as long as said level has not been in a Gala previously. Please reach out to us in the appropriate Gala Challenge thread with a link to your Workshop creation to get the tags updated.
  
• The appropriate Creation Type tag should be used, i.e. Levels for Level Contests, and Templates for Template Contests.
  
• Levels, thumbnails, and titles should not be blank, be visually misleading, include NSFW content, attempt to provoke a "prone to huge arguments" thread, or include unsolicited advertisements.
  
• Submission thumbnails should be made with Mondrian Studio, but external modifications (e.g. Adobe Photoshop, etc.) are allowed. If it is unclear whether the submission was made with Mondrian Studio or not, please include a note in your Creation's description.
  
• Content of the submission must reasonably fall within the Steam Online Conduct and User Generated Content provisions.
  
• Lantana Games and Valve are obligated to uphold the Steam Subscriber Agreement, particularly the "User Generated Content" provisions (§6.A-D). We may remove your submission and/or disqualify it from the Gala if we feel it breaks Steam's terms, does not meet the Challenge requirements, or does not fall within the above General Rules by the submission deadline.

We will reach out to you in the Developer Comments section of your creation. Generally, this will be for delivering your thumbnail frames or other prizes. Please try to respond to these comments ASAP in case changes need to be made to your creation before the submission deadline, or your prizes need to be claimed within a short timeframe.
