I killed one of those shadows, and the orbs said something of an orange cat chilling by the tv.

Thought it was a fireplace. The weird thing is that it's vague on whether it's someone watching a cat or the cat itself. Most likely the former as cats aren't Humanoid except on Broadway apparently and the shadows are humanoid (unless it's a Mastiff which it says it's a Shadow Mastiff).
