[SP] Drow Cleric of Eilistraee. Aimed Romance with Wyll. Blog Updates.
So I am trying to Romance Wyll. I know, he is a bit sketchy but we will explore him thoroughly. And we will also expose all flaws we can see, from the outside moving in.

So I first saw Wyll, blowing the horn in the Druid Gate Fight. He was trying to be showy, and heroic-looking. I get that. I know a show when I see it. However, he went and killed one or two Goblns. We finished the fight. Aradin died in the foray so there was no initial interaction with Zevlor. I initiated a chat and Zevlor spoke of his issues in the grove. I said I would help, as a good Cleric of Eilistraee would aid the downtrodden and troubled.

I tried to bestow rites to Kannon, post fight (Already reported with suggestions on a fix) but those around were too grief stricken to allow me to do it. With that understanding I departed the area, and moved to the Merchant Aaron. He was surprised that a Drow would aid in their defense but happy nonetheless.

It is difficult to convey the Dark Maiden's presence and being one of her Clerics it seems. (Larian needs to fix recognition) I am not a 'typical' Drow. The Dark Maidens' Blessing should shroud me with purpose and understanding, and anyone engaging a Cleric of her Faith should be recognized. Because it is in other ways, in game. A Lolthian Drow is treated different then a Seldarine Drow in responses.

Trying to be showy? Only heroic looking? He is the famous Blade of Frontiers! I assume as a surface drow you must have heard of him? Everyone's heard of him! He was a favorite topic of discussion for my Tav whilst in her mercenary group. You got to see him in person and you weren't immediately starstruck??

I'm not surprised a Cleric couldn't clear that fight without letting anyone die. It really takes a fighter - a soldier or two to get the job done efficiently. Not even for heroics or for the pleasure of some goddess, but rather simply for the thrill and lust of blood in the air. A shame. I understand one can get starstruck when seeing the Blade of Frontiers in action. But you had a job to do as a do-gooder. Wyll even gave you Rally. He can't do all the work. 😉
I tease. It sounds like you entered this fight alone - just one down is impressive.

A shame you couldn't put that human in his place with a good punch though. You're missing out on some satisfaction to silencing his mouth. Now he is in the grave - silenced forever in such a disappointing fashion. That Bugbear tends to make mincemeat out of those second-rate mercs.

I assume your Cleric made a beeline to Wyll afterward? Was it love at first sight? Or is this a slow burn, 4k words? I'm excited to hear what came next as I've debated romancing Wyll with a chaotic good. I sate myself by flirting with him on occasion with my neutral evil Tav instead.

It will be a long one, I hope.

She did not, and it was not.
So far she has not properly met him yet, as she is doing her usual thing Eilistraeean thing of trying to look for people to help and sing and play her lute when she feels the need.

While looking around the Grove for anyone that might need help with something to lighten their burdens, I came across a Tiefling that seemed to be out of sorts. He was practicing his swordsmanship on a practice dummy that was apparently beating him. I walked over to him quietly, and after a few moments, began humming to myself to get his attention. He turned about and I asked if he was having trouble. "Nothing but." he replied. So while I had been humming I took his measure and noticed he was off balance, as his feet were too close together, and when he tried to strike the practice dummy his blows would not connect because of that. After explaining this to him, he seemed to be in much better form. He complemented me saying: "You really know what you're doing." He offered me a weapon he found on the side of the road as a reward. I took it graciously and gave a slight bow. Then, proceeded to the Light Foot Halfling Aaron to sell it. I bartered its worth for some food and bottled water and then proceeded to hand them out to the Tiefling children whom were practicing. Apparently, Wyll took notice of this and smiled at me. "That's a good thing you did." I turned to face him and smiled in return. "It's no less than what is needed to put a smile on their faces when they are trying so hard" I replied.

Suddenly our minds crossed, and I could see into his... Visions of a blue skinned female enveloped my mind. Placing my right index finger to my right temple, I tried to focus deeper, then saw her outstretched wings, it made me think of a demon of some sort. As quick as the visions came, they also faded just as such. "I'll be damned to the Nine Hells. You were on the ship too." he said. I agreed with him and we spoke further. "Been thinkin' I need a Healer." I told him that I too was looking for one, and then he spoke of the druid Halsin whom was supposedly pretty powerful, and that he could help us, but that the Goblins nabbed him. I nodded as I listened to his words and of his "Grandest of Plans". I agreed to help him kill the Goblin leaders, and he joined up with me. He and I then went further into the grove down a long, winding staircase of white stone to what would be the heart of it, seemingly. Angry Tieflings were shouting at the three druids in front of the entryway, while there was a Tiefling couple in the back, the female seemed distressed.

After speaking with Marricko and Locke we found out they were distressed about their child Arabella whom had been taken to be judged by the new First Druid Kagha for trying to steal their Idol of Silvanas, which apparently they need to cast their ritual to lock down the grove. I agreed to help and when arriving at the foot of the stairs, I was immediately growled at by a druid whom had shifted into a brown bear. The Human female in the middle tried to calm him and then shifted her gaze unto me. She told me to step back, as they would not tolerate Drow in there. The Light Foot Halfling druid beside her spoke up "A moment, Jeorna." He whispered something into her ear and she agreed. "You. Apparently Kagha wants to see you, go ahead." She then warned me about making trouble and that every animal would be upon me if I did. Smiling wistfully, I walked past them with Wyll in tow and made my way inside taking notice of what was going on at the Sacred Pool and anything of note.

Upon entering the Groves' Heart and the Sacred Pool area, I noticed a peculiarly dressed Human male speaking to what I assumed to be another druid shifted into a brown bear. He gave off a strange aura so I avoided him, walking past even as he shouted a greeting to me. "You there. Hello!" As we passed the Sacred Pool, I decided to take a short detour just to look around for a few moments.

Wyll was close behind me as he followed me down to a small water inlet where yet another shifted brown bear was, it was fishing using its large paw and had collected quite the impressive pile. Immediately, I felt the presence of magic to my right, and held out my right hand to see if I could locate its origin. Bending over at the hip, I reached down to a rough looking medium-sized rock and moved it aside with both hands. I could feel Wyll's gaze focused upon me and smirked to myself. What I found hiding under the rock and half buried in the white grainy beach sand was a pretty gold necklace engraved with a waterfall. I could instantly sense a feeling of calm rush over me as I beheld it in my hands.

In one movement I spun upright from the bent over position, hoping to catch Wyll staring at me and was not disappointed. As soon as I got upright he moved his head to the side and looked to the side. I smirked and did a half skip toward him, making sure that I used the slight momentum of the skip to give my body some bounce as he turned his head to face me, wide-eyed. "The Goddess has blessed me with something nice for my devotion. It is an amulet blessed with a spell to heal diseases and conditions. It will be most helpful on our journey!" I said with a sweet smile across my soft lips. He nodded quietly and smiled in return as I quickly fastened it around my neck, enjoying the calming feeling it bestowed upon me. We then proceeded back up to the Sacred Pool, and further in to go see First Druid Kagha.

Indeed she has been blessed apparently. 👀 I see your character breasted boobily after picking up that amulet. Is she heaven sent or a temptress to replace Wyll's existing one?

You're reminding me again why I love your comments lol, you've also said other things about "W" that would make War Maiden's head explode lol.

I think you're even a bigger fan of "W" then I am after the raving "review" I've seen you write about him? 😍

Wyll is looking to be a pretty dynamic character. He certainly wants to be of good alignment, but his frustrations with himself makes him fight himself - like he is wrestling with an inner demon. I wonder if this Eilistraee cleric will be able to purify his passions. Personally, I prefer to have my Tav feed his fires. I can do better than his patron. And make him greater than she ever will.

But back to the story!

Goddess, Inupac.
Can you just make one succinct post? Moh. Anyway...

Yes, I made this for you, and any in the community that cares.
I am doing this at my leisure, but still giving periodic updates.

Just so you know Inupac. I am not one whom needs rescue. I would have thought you would have known that by now as you calling me a 'Machina.' I can sustain myself with no issues.

You do realize my Drow in this playthrough is 'far' different than the Lolth-Sworn before? Yes? Now, she is a Cleric of Eilistraee, whom is the Good Deity of the Drow and Lolth's Daughter. The Moon Maiden / Dark Lady she is called. She is nothing like the evil one in my first play that you saw. Look forward to it.

I would like to think she enjoys teasing Wyll at every opportunity.

But back to the story!

Well, We will see. Eilistraee wants nothing but kindness and aid to all peoples. But she says nothing about sexual tension and mischief. Especially when we typically disrobe and dance for her in her moonlight.

Wyll is a horndog, I know this from past xp. But that will be revealed again later on. Plus, I am looking forward to any additions to his story that Patch 5 injected.

As for her charms, well. She knows how to use them. She is a Female Drow after all and not from the Surface, so charming the surface dwellers, regardless of gender, is merely a matter of a sexsi twist or a seductive smile and bounce in the right circumstance. As you well know. As for replacing Wyll's 'Succubus' Patron. I cannot save her initially. He has at least 100 pages of ridiculous demonic legalese that binds him for life to her, but that does not mean I cant 'F' with him, and enjoy her too, by extension (in curious, interesting ways) and make it an interesting pairing. I realize this may be too much 'saucy talk' (NSFW and all that) but the end result is the same.

We either save Mizora and use that purpose to break Wyll's pact, or we press on.
We can lose the Succubus (death) and Wyll is freed by default because the Patron no longer exists. OR we keep all involved and have a sexsi, salacious starter Harem of fun and adventure trio with me being the Alpha Drow (or some resembling facsimile).

How cute. The witch woman dancing in the wilderness in all her wild beauty motif. More freeing to the voyeur than the practitioner. Give me a goddess that makes it a promise that there will be blood at my ire. Then, and only then, in a sanguine dress will I join in the joyous frolicking.

Horndog? I wince at giving him such a label. What makes you think he is so overtly libidinous? The fact that he has two eyes that can see Lae’zel as the irresistible Queen that she is? That is just having eyes that work. That is just having a brain! And holding the correct opinion.

He is rather a fellow being of repression, and that is why temptation has such power over him to begin with. Why I vicariously understand him through my Tav. Tempted and wrestling a version of himself that brings him shame. It is why he builds a false image of light that will drown out his shadows. I wouldn’t be surprised if he is so repressed that he is ignorant of the psychology that makes him both attracted to Lae’zel and at times unable to rise to the challenge

Doesn’t some of the seduction of drow come from their charisma and force of character? People can fight all they want over Minthara’s appearance, but the manner in which she speaks seizes my attention. At one point she even tells you to give all attention to her whilst in her presence – and to cease chatter with your companions. Admirable. I am envious.
I figured it’s not just the right jiggle and swagger, but perhaps it is because I’m not the right demographic where that tactic would make me a drow’s victim. She need only speak however. And in my stupor I will find it mana from heaven.

Tell me. How does one balance kindness and aid when you also seek chaos and mischief? Your description does not sound like innocent tension. You should call it what it is –
- so you may be more potent with your aim.

Playing the temptress to Wyll is hard to resist. But do not get comfortable. There is more to him than has been revealed in what we have in EA.

I will wait patiently for the next part in your tale.

Well, there is Lovitar, the Goddess of Pain.

Additionally, when doing the moonlite dancing, everyone whom participates is disrobed, so there is no sanguine dress to be worn.

Yes, not only is it their charisma of personality and charming assets, but their suggestive body language, and tone of speech. The way they speak can be more enticing and commanding than their appearance alone, but it is usually a total package effect for Drow females.

A Cleric of Eilistraee seeks to aid people through deed, song, dance, general kindness and merriment, and even physical protection to the weak, among other things. But as I said, that alone does not rule out one engaging in playful mischief and sexual tension. Also, those whom follow the Church of Eilistraee are not innocent lambs, so-to-speak. They are very capable Female Clerics (Dark Ladies) / Male Clerics (Reverents), Sword Dancers, Silverhair Knights, Darksong Knights and Protectors of the Song which are all formidable fighters and magic users.

A cool and gentle breeze passed about us as we made our way to the other side of the Sacred Pool. I noticed an elevator lift that could become very useful if needed, but of course there was a huge brown bear laying on the pad. Judging by its size, the lever would be worthless to pull without encouraging the brown bear to pick a more convenient sleeping spot. Gently stepping over to it as to not startle it, I nudged at it's left hip gently, trying to coax it awake and off the elevator pad. After a few moments of gentle coaxing, the brown bear finally woke up, and moved off the elevator pad and onto the side, allowing us access to the lift if needed.

Shortly after securing lift access, we made our way further in where a female Druid was speaking softly to a bird on a blue and white painted upright wooden pillar that sat nearly head-level and a large pig that was wagging its rear back and forth in an unsightly manner.

Smiling to myself at the beauty of nature and its strange creatures, Wyll and I finally came to the white and slightly grey stone door. It was very large and looked as if the front of it had a chiseled design etched into it, with parts of nature beautifully depicted. Upon entering the Emerald Grove, voices could be heard on our way down, a females', one somewhat sharp and unforgiving, and another, a male's voice seemingly desperate. We made our way slowly down the stone steps to what looked like a potentially dangerous situation. I noted the walls were painted with lavish colors and flair. These were depicted history paintings and there were plaques to commemorate them. I decided to peruse them at a later time.

Getting to the inner circle area it appeared as if the female Druid, whom I assumed was this 'First Druid' Kagha, was passing judgement on a female Tiefling child, assumingly the distraught parents child 'Arabella', with another, a dark skinned Human male attempting to dissuade Kagha. There also appeared to be a venomous snake between Kagha and the child, making sure the Tiefling child did not try to run away.

"This is madness Kagha. He exclaimed. "She's just ah..." Sharply, the First Druid interrupted him. "A what Rath? A thief, a poison, a threat?"

Finally getting to where they were, being cautions not to startle the snake for fear it might inadvertently bite the child, I made sure that I was able to be seen by all involved.

"I will imprison the devil. And I will cast out every stranger!" Kagha exclaimed.

I looked hat her with a curious expression. "Imprison her? She is just a child." I interrupted.

"She is a parasite. She eats our food, drinks our water, then steals our most holy idol in thanks!" She retorted sharply. Looking back at Rath, she commanded.

"Rath - lock her up. She remains here until the rite is complete." Kagha then looked at the Tiefling child in a most evil way, and spoke. "And keep still devil. Teela is restless."

You could see the fear in the child's eyes as she looked at the snake sitting up on its end, upright like a cobra, hissing.

Wyll then looked at me, a desperate expression on his face, and pleaded. "The child is in danger. Do something, I beg you." With a short, silent exhale, I turned my gaze over to Kagha, looked her in the eyes and spoke to her in the female Drow, traditionally expected, authoritative tone.

"Don't Druids cherish harmony? Jailing the girl disrupts nature's balance." I said.

Kagha looked at me for a moment, her face transition from slight surprise to a softened smile. "I hear the Treefathers spirit in your words... It is as you say." She then made a curious sound, which I could only assume was her speaking to the snake. "Teela - to me. Out thief, my grace has its limits."

With that, the Tiefling child ran out of the Emerald Grove, and through the stone door. It appeared that Wyll approved of my tactic as his distraught disappeared, and he was wearing a smile again. After, we went over to Rath and spoke to him.

"You did well to speak up for the girl. That snake is fickle. A tragedy prevented." He said.

I honestly was unsure if he was referring to the snake Teela, or Kagha in this instance. Looking at him with a concerned expression I asked. "And if I hadn't spoken up? What would have happened?"

He gave me a pained expression in return. "Nothing befitting a child. Nothing befitting any of our World's creatures. We've let a snake replace our leader. She will see the Tieflings driven out, or worse." He replied, and his past words became clear whom he deemed a 'snake'.

Looking at Rath with curiosity, I asked. "How did Kagha take over the whole grove?"

"She is First Druid in Halsin's absence. With him caught - or dead - by goblins, none my gainsay her." He replied.

Thinking for a moment, I offered. "If no one is looking for Halsin, I could do it."

He looked genuinely surprised at my reply.
"Would you? I would give anything to see Halsin return home."

I smiling at him seductively. "I'd like a more solid offer than anything."

Rath then looked at me gravely serious, and lowered his voice. "Our need is great. I will open the treasures of this grove to you, even if the circle forbids it."

My interest peaked and my smile widened. "Halsin is an Elf with the presence of a bear. You won't mistake the First Druid for anyone else. He left West, with the adventurers."

Nodding slowly in understanding to Rath, Wyll and I then exited the Emerald Grove and utilized the lift to get to the higher ground area. A sense of imminent danger came over me, and I looked back at Wyll seriously. "Wyll - be on your guard." He nodded in understanding and followed me.

Looking about and seeing nothing, I figured I would try to get to a higher elevation to be able to survey the area better. No sooner did I get to the next higher elevation up, I spotted a Bugbear, at the top of the elevation, crouched. I snapped my fingers once to get Wylls' attention and pointed up. He nodded in acknowledgement and we continued up the rise. As we made our way to the top, the Bugbear appeared to be taking its time, sneaking up to a Tiefling female whom was unaware of the danger heading her way. There was a telescope close to her, so it was only obvious that she was a long-range lookout, and an obstacle for the Goblins to work labor unnoticed.

Upon getting close, the Bugbear shoved the Tiefling female off the side of the elevation. Honestly, the fall should have killed her from that height, but perhaps there was some Hellish protections Tieflings had, as my interactions with them were limited so far in my life. The Bugbear then turned about and saw me, quickly he soiled the weapon with poisonous fluids. By the way its muscles strained, it was steeling itself for my potential incoming blow. Shield at the ready and slightly bent downward, I ran forward for a shoving shield bash and impacted the Bugbear solidly.

Staggering it for a moment. It was more resilient than I anticipated, as it then recoiled, and in one movement, grabbed my weapon arm with one hand, the other hand at my throat. The hand at my throat began to squeeze... then suddenly sound from behind me "Doro" was heard, I was suddenly flying backwards and hit the grassy earth with a slightly uncomfortable thud. Wyll had finally made it to the cliff top and used his Eldritch Blast to knock the Bugbear and I apart.

I looked over at him with a frustrated gaze, and I thought to myself. "Took you long enough!" He apparently could read my frustration, and just gave me a 'it can't be helped shrug' as I rose to my feet. I shouted to him to cast Hellish Rebuke, and for him to get between me and the Bugbear. He looked at me like I was absolutely crazy, since I was the one in armor. "Do It!" I commanded. He cast the spell and began running to get between us. I made sure to stand a two feet's length behind him so the Bugbear would attack Wyll first.

He took the bait, and swung his mace at Wyll. Wyll crossed his arms in front of him to protect his face (no surprise) and instantly in that moment the Bugbear (gained disadvantage from my Protection stance with a shield) became alight and after a few seconds of flailing, fell to the ground, lifeless and smoldering. Quickly I cast Healing Word to patch Wyll up, and then we went over to see if the Tiefling was still ok. I bent down and gently cradled the back of her head.

"Wyll, open my pack and get a Healing potion. Pop its cork and hand it to me." I asked. He complied, and with my other hand I slowly allowed the liquid to slide over her lips and down her throat, taking care not to give her overmuch, too quickly. Slowly opening her eyes, she looked up at me wide-eyed in fear.

"Is... Is it dead?" she hurriedly asked. "Yes, quite dead. You are welcome, by the way." She smiled, and nodded slowly. "Yes... Yes, thank you very much." She replied, slowly getting to her feet.

She took a few moments to compose herself then spoke. "You have good timing. Never been much of a fighter, so... wrestling a Bugbear would have gone... poorly."

Suddenly her tone changed to a more questioning one. "But you're not here for heroics, are you? Avernus' stench is all over you. Let me guess: your devil mistress sent you to get her soil coin back? Too bad. I earned it fair and square." I was not sure what she was on about, but I decided to be true to my Goddess' righteous path.

"Coin? Mistress? You lost me." I replied sincerely.

"You almost seem honest. Care to explain why you reek of the Hells?" She retorted.

"You wouldn't believe me if I told you." I answered, with a slight bit of embarrassment.

"Considering what I've seen? You'd be surprised. But if you aren't here for the coin, I'd rather enjoy the quiet. There's not much of it anywhere else." Her voice seemingly honest.

I hesitated for a moment than spoke. "A mind flayer abducted me, and its ship went straight to Avernus."

"Well, that's quite the story. And I thought I was doomed. Now I feel sorry for you. Here. Take this. It's worth a fortune. But a fortune's not worth much if you're dead. Consider it payment for saving my life." In a seemingly genuine voice, she said

I took the coin and gave her a slight bow. She went to sit back on her makeshift wooden stump seat, and Wyll and I began making our way to speak to the child's parents.

Well, yes. Eilistraee, to whom I chose this time to do a 'Good' playthrough, and try to help Wyll, in whatever way the Goddess deems, is my goal. Sure I know his history, to a point. There is plenty more we do not know because it is either still being written and CV or has not even been injected yet in the Origin Character nodes. As for our conflicting, yes, there would be because of my current choice of Goddess and personality. I am very versatile, when it comes to RP, been doing it for years.

I had nothing to do with it. Lae'zel, in a fit of grief committed suicide and jumped off the ship in Avernus. I killed the sketchy Human asking for help in the wilderness (Astarion) because he gave off a chilling aura, which means bad person.

I did not populate Gale (Meaning I never drew close to the waypoint to initiate his dialogue) so I will not worry about his troubles. The only one left for us, currently, is Wyll to whom I picked up as purpose of this play. You should appreciate that all my attentions (mostly) are on him, and look forward to more story!

Seriously, Inupac.
If I did not want to 'do this' would I waste all this time regaling the exploits in exhaustive detail? Surely not. I want to enjoy the game, and all facets of it. If you think Joō-sama (Queen) is going to make everything better, in this regard, you might need a time-out.

Additionally... if you wish to address her properly, (not as Reina, use this. I don't mind if you're lazy with it and do a cut and paste:

'Kanojo no roiyarushōtonesu' This is literally translated as 'Her Royal Shortness'.

Loviatar? Please. You misunderstand me. It is not pain I want – it is Retribution. Do not consider the sanguine dress clothing. More like a coating. The image is just as pleasing - if not more.

Did Wyll have anything to say after you saved Arabella? I usually let Kagha handle her business and the situation goes a little differently for me. But I’ve had Lae’zel, Gale, or Shadowheart react afterward.

Wyll saves you and then you make him a meatshield? I will offer you grace and not nitpick your choice of tactics.

Are you sure he covered his face out of vanity or simply to invoke the powers bestowed upon him to unleash Hellish Rebuke? The man is covered from head to toe in scars. Some make him look even more charming, yes, but others seem to have been inflicted where they would have surely ended his life.

On that note – to be clear – you don’t like Wyll – correct? Or is this all less about him and more about him? Am I meddling in your affairs? I did not mean to intrude – this time.

When you say "rise to the challenge", what exactly do you mean my Reina? 👸 🙇‍♂️

It seems to me you already understand the meaning if you are even asking. Besides, it was italicized. If I were you, I would not draw attention to it. From the depths of my grace, I will spare you.

If you have only been drawing one meaning from anything italicized you have only been half paying attention. And having only half the fun.

In any case, War Maiden's drow will encounter this soon enough, and you will understand - if you need the elaboration.

Ahh, another shared trait of ours. There is required a certain level of finesse when it comes to RP. The worst thing that can ever happen in RP is writing yourself into a dead end. My character is selfish, uncaring, and pragmatic and will serve whatever god promises her power. But she is also clever, controlled, and patient. If she had to work with a do-gooder then so be it. She would simply bide her time. All things come to those who wait. Power is destined to her.

So far it is interesting and you are quite a good writer. My main issue is I have the opposite view of Wyll compared to inupac, who I know this is made for so makes sense it would be a two character party of you and him.

Wyll in my playthroughs stays at camp. He cleans up, cooks the food, walks the dog/owlbear (not at the same time as they get rowdy, he also has to make sure they don't kill eachother). He has astarion to keep him company and help with chores. Though sometimes astarion will come out and is replaced by another.

I suppose we shall see what their continued adventures bring. Perhaps it will change my views on Wyll, perhaps not.

We've talked about this before, he's not a womanizer Maquina! lol. Stop with the false labels! Haven't you heard of people who're overly friendly & can appear flirty, yet not trying to "sex" anyone at all. *nervous sweating*

I can come off that way too, but I'm just having fun & not even looking for a relationship or anyone to shag with! It also breaks the ice when I compliment people, since I do it to men too when I'm not even gay!

We need better evidence to prove your accusations, because from what I've read there's still not enough to add this bad label on him? lol. Change my mind than & show me the facts soon about, "will be revealed again later." 😅

Well. If someone had bought the game, then someone might know about what I speak.

As for her charms, well. She knows how to use them. She is a Female Drow after all and not from the Surface, so charming the surface dwellers, regardless of gender, is merely a matter of a sexsi twist or a seductive smile and bounce in the right circumstance.

With great power comes great responsibility.

I fear that your Drow will abuse her "gifts" & turn to the darkside with it towards people, including "W." =(

She abuses her 'gifts' for simple amusement. The Goddess Eilistraee teaches her followers to be kind and help people, and as you saw, there are many ways to help people and engage in merriment.

^ You wouldn't dare, if you're even somewhat writing this story for me you wouldn't do any of this! lol.

That's not the "fairy tale" I was picturing...yet then again many things I've imagined you'd write is always wrong? So why should I be surprised this is no different... ☹️ 😃 < mixed feelings again, it's a love hate thing...sorry.

I told you, i'm writing it for anyone in the community that wants a bit of distraction and entertainment, it is not exclusively for you.

OR we keep all involved and have a sexsi, salacious starter Harem of fun and adventure trio with me being the Alpha Drow (or some resembling facsimile).

Regardless I hope "W" gets his own airship to visit other locations & realms to truly be the "Blade of Frontiers!" While his ship is called "The Shield of Frontiers", but that's my cannon ending if Larian makes it happen? I think I told you this before right? 😎

So if your story continues & that option is available, you gotta do it even if your Drow doesn't want to go, & does her own thing? =(

The only people with 'airships' are the Mindflayers, as far as I know, because they travel through space. So that probably will not happen.

Wyll did not actually say anything after, however that might be due to I still need to reconnect with the parents after saving Arabella and perhaps then I will get the exclamation mark about his head.

Wyll took his time scaling the cliff (probably because he only has 9 STR Score) and it pissed her off that she was up there risking her life to save the Tiefling alone, while facing a Bugbear without her backup. She expected Wyll to be right behind her, and that is why she charged the Bugbear with her shield. She would not have got so close to him if she did not expect him to be right behind her. But regardless of her irritation he did finally get up there and separate them with that Eldritch Blast.

As for the tactic, the spell Hellish Rebuke is a strong reactive spell, meaning, if the one bestowed it gets hit, and the one whom did the attack is within 60 feet of them, the spell reactively casts at the one whom did the damage for 2d10 fire damage at level 1, and an additional 1d10 for each slot level above lvl 1, and at the time, Wyll was level 3, meaning the Bugbear didn't stand a chance, especially with my invoking Disadvantage on it due to my Protection stance with a shield and being within 1.5 meters of Wyll. So, I did not use him as a meatshield, I used him as bait for a clever trap.

I am not sure, honestly.
I have never been that far with his romance to see him with his shirt off or anything else of that nature. I was just being a bit sassy with the 'no surprise' comment.

It is hard to say, really. I know his past as was told to me in the game, by him. But that was Patch 3. We are now in Patch 5, and a few of the party members have had numerous injects into their backstory and the story in general. I cannot say personally that I hate him, but I want to see how this all plays out. Sadly, it wont be a full romance-type because it is still EA, and that is fine, for now. I do know, that my Cleric of Eilistraee will not be please finding out the things he did while in BG. But hopefully she can look past that for the amends it seems he is trying to make.

What exactly is your honest view of him, without holding back any fuming dislike you might have too? Because your review of him so far would be really interesting to read, & I value what you have to type....even if the possible truth might hurt?

Until the full game comes out though, who knows if all our "truths" have been wrong or not exactly correct either? I'm pretty sure though I hit the nail on the head when it comes to knowing what "W" is, since his personality & background has been done to death in other hero stories.

Will see if Larian surprises me, maybe he's not mostly like the others who came before lol.

is this the result of not liking him as a person, or is it really about him not having what you need in battle, or something else I'm not considering?

Originally posted by Funniesthobo:

It will change your views on "W."

I believe in War Maiden, who wouldn't have done all this just to make "W" become the villain or something unlikable? It's like the video I posted earlier, where he's just a "fixer upper" is all. 😢 https://youtu.be/39XXMtAr5g4

Well, I don't hate him in some rage inducing way if that is what you are thinking. I did try him out over half of my first playthrough ever, then didn't go back. The main reason I don't take him is I don't like him in combat. I might have to give warlocks another try at some point now that I know more about the game, but until they release new classes I am fairly set in my party comp after switching it about for a few playthroughs.

Gale I bring with even though I don't care for his prodigal son of magic and magical item eating ways, just because he is a wizard. I feel the wizard offers more versatility to my party (I especially like that he doesn't damage my group with AOEs as an evoker). When I was playing Wyll I didn't really see much versatility and found I was doing pretty much the same thing with him in combat all the time. Like I said I might have to give him a second chance just to check out warlocks now that I have way more hours clocked into the game, but I'm just not seeing it. Maybe there are some warlock pacts I would be more favourable towards.

So in short, the main reason is combat. When I tried him out he just wasn't meshing with my playstyle. I did really like his pets though and for a certain quest his pet was indispensable.

The reasons I don't like Wyll as a character are many. I mean he is training the tieflings to defend themselves as he is 'the blade of the frontiers' when the real reason he is what he is was making a pact. I'm sure he has gained some experience with a blade over time, but his primary power are those he gained from a pact, not practice. So he was a hypocrite right off the bat for me.

His demeanour reminds me of a con man, mostly because he is one. He is always smiling and overly chummy, even right away when he doesn't know a thing about you other than that you showed up with three heavily armed friends and killed some goblins at the gate.

Also, apparently around the goblins he is a completely different person, which to be fair they did take his eye and whatnot. I haven't seen it personally as he is not with me, but I heard he tortures someone? Hurting someone who cannot fight back is an extremely dishonourable thing. It also isn't something I would have figured he would do based on his superficial nice guy, valiant warrior persona.

I'm sure there are other reasons I have forgotten about, as he is mostly ignored by me. But that was just off the top of my head. Maybe I will give warlocks another chance one day. We shall see.

Edit: To be honest now that I am thinking about it that superficial facade of being everyone's best friend and then the layer living under that where he tortures a guy makes me think he may actually be a psychopath. In the clinical sense. I'm sure there are other symptoms. If I do a playthrough with him in my party again I'll make note.
