The problem with starting the game
I tried to run it from the folder on behalf of the administrator, also checked the integrity of the files and reinstalled the game. The error remains. Unable to parse the localization file (D:\Program Files\Steam\steamapps\common\Baldurs Gate 3\Launcher\locales\en.csv)

Every Hotfix they do ruins more the game, for me it's unplayable, I have 3060 TI and the game keeps crashing, before it worked if I started it directly from the executable, now it doesn't work anymore, if I set medium graphics settings the game doesn't even start, I've never seen such rubbish, furthermore we all paid for the game, I also tried deleting my saves to see if there were corrupt files and that doesn't work either, I lost my saves now too, maybe the game will be ready and finished in another few years at this rate

It sounds as if there is some file/data corruption or file access issue. Is D: your SSD drive. Do you have enough free space?
Either way I would suggest contacting Larian directly.

No it doesn't. At least not for MOST players. If you are having genuine issues, try posting here or on Larians forum, and providing enough information about your system and the issues that you have, so that someone can point you in the correct direction.

Dude, were you able to solve this problem? I have the same... reinstalling the game and checking the files did not help.

What exactly are you two doing? Sounds absolutely unrelated.

I am also experiencing this issue and having to completely shutdown steam and load the game from the bg3.exe file in bin. Would be curious if anyone is able to speak to any fixes

There is no problem and no fixes if you are not sharing details about your actual issue.

My issue is that I have had to re-reroute the launch options to skip the larian launcher and then prompt the steam client to start the game directly from the .exe file. After consulting another post they provided me that fix. Just a bit annoying that prior to finding that fix I had to go into the bare bin/bg3.exe files to start the game whilst making sure that steam was entirely shut down. What other details would you like?

That is simply a launcher issue then. What is the big deal with setting up a launch option? I am using it all the time even without having any issues.

--skip-launcher startup option doesn't actually skip the launcher for me. The only way I can successfully launch BG3 is by shutting down Steam completely.

No one here ever mentioned to use that launch option.

finally I found the solution to the problem, deactivating XMP in the Bios, I probably also had an anti virus which was creating further problems for me, now the game work perfectly

I can't tell if this is a troll post or not. Anyway...

A CSV file is a clear text file. Stands for Comma Separated Values. You can open it with any text editor to see if the file is corrupted or not.

XMP is a setting for overclocking RAM using settings specified in the reserve table on the SPD chip. If disabling that fixed your problem... then you were just experiencing data corruption.

Running BG3 on an M1 Imac. Worked fine until the last set of updates. Now says it has 10 corrupt files. So I updated them on Steam to fix. Still game errors out. Is anyone else having this issue?
