Clubs in Moonrise are Auto Equipping

Below Moonrise, in the prisons, next to the dock where the ship is to leave for Last Light, there are several clubs on the ground. Picking any of these up auto equips them to both hands. Sending to another character does the same. I sold them to Mattis, also equipped them, can seem them in the photo of the merchant now. Not game breaking just funny.
These clubs really want someone to use them.
I've had it happen since I first bought this game, even without mods, and I thought it might go away, but nope, still there. Just thought I'd mention these persistent clubs lol
