Lifting the shadow curse bug, killed enemies before talking to Halsin
Hey, Spoiler alert, I'm stuck when Halsin gets into the shadow crossing. I actually started the conversation with him but got in a fight with the enemies with other characters before Halsin summoned the shadow crossing. So now all the enemies are dead and the portal is just open forever and halsin never comes back. Anyone else got in the same situation? I tried to go to camp, a long rest, to advance other quests and come back but nothing works...

Use a save before starting this subquest.
So before you go to Halsin to open the portal.
And avoid interrupting certain scripted events.

I progressed a lot in the meantime and my last save before this is a long ago from where I'm now. I guess I'm screwed. Thanks for the answer though!

The good news you got rid of Halsin i found him even more unbearable than Gale.
