Icons disappeared after patch 6

Hey guys, I need a bit of help.
I've installed the new patch, which took a day but eventually it got downloaded.

I hop on to continue my run, but suddenly I see there are no icons in the tray below.

Any suggestions on what to do?

Well there is not much to go on with your description as it is vague as can be.

So i suggest you to contact Larian support. As they are the ones offering the official support for the game. (There is no official support on Steam forums.)

I have the same problem! So the HUD partially works for me but many if not most of my icons inside the HUD (Spells, some items and actions) are just "invisible", meaning if I hover over them with the courser, then the tooltip pops up, but there are no icons to the above mentioned buttons. This makes it a nightmare to play the game cause i cant see what im doing...

Share screenshots to clarify your issue. Though it sounds like a typical mod issue. For mods related issues consult the mods authors.

nah you effed up the linking part. Basicly the link you posted is https://(https://...)
that is why it is blocked.

Okay so the most important question is whether you are using mods, because this so far seems to be a mod related issue. Like ImprovedUI or whatever it is called.
I know it caused others issues. Also the new patch and hotfix broke a lot of mods.

If you play mods you should NOT jump ship for new patches or hotfixes as they can render your game broken. And sometimes even corrupt your savegames.

This is an issue I have had in the past, I think it involves the mod ImprovedUI if you have that. If not then I am unsure on the cause. I know I had to download a separate file involving it in order to fix the problem.

Did you do the Game Update Routine when updating the game?

Do you perchance use NVidia graphic card and have updated it to the latest driver?
(It seems to cause a lot of different issues)

so it turns out I just needed to verify the integrity of the game file, a few corrupt/missing files were redownloaded and now I'm good to go! Thanks!

Apparantly the steam servers were also out of syncXD

That is why that process is essential part of the game update routine.

The funny part is that I've had to verify game contents with many other games in the past, and right after patch 6 a friend of mine had the merchant crashing problem so I told her to verify her game contents... didn't even think of doing it myself XD
