Game keeps crashing when I try to lockpick since patch 6

Hi!

So my game keeps crashing whenever I want to lockpick a chest. I've already done some research. I've tried deleting all the IU mods, tried deleting Script Extender, and also tried Verify integrity of game files. but still nothing helped has fixed it for me. Can someone please help me?

Re-install without any mods.

I have also had this issue since patch 6. I don't use mods and I have uninstalled and re-installed and it did not fix it.

If you EVER used mods for BG3. There is a possibility that there remain some lingering snippets which you are unable to remove normally or with a simple delete file.

Try using the search function to find one of the longer threads they usually contain different approaches. Some worked for others, it may work for you.
The key words you should use in your search are:
- Thieving skills
- Lockpick
- Pickpocket

Add to them for instance crashing as a keyword and you should find the relevant topics.
