Can't pickpocket after 25 hours of thieving

I haven't been able to find any other threads talking about this and I wanted to double check before sending Larian a bug report. But my issue is as follows:

Basically, I have had no trouble at all stealing from just about every NPC I've wanted to in the game. I eventually made my way down to the Underdark and robbed Blurg blind. I made my getaway as usual only this time I didn't get too far. He questioned Astarion and I successfully bluffed my way out of it. I thought nothing of it and continued on with the game for several hours.

I found someone else i wanted to pickpocket later and noticed Pickpocket was grayed out/disabled, as if I had just pickpocketed from that person. I thought it was odd but I figured it was cause Blurg caught me so the other merchants in the area might be wary or something. I went along, tried long resting, leaving area, creating a new hireling to steal from said person and nothing. Pickpocket still grayed out. I even went back to Emerald Grove to rob our old body Aaron and he also couldnt be pickpocketed.

Does anyone know if this is a mechanic I'm missing or if its just a bug? I dont really want to redo 6+ hours of gameplay.

I'm currently having the exact same issue right now. Have you found a fix for this now?
