Crashing at 60% through loading a file.

It's been happening since the hotfix. I can't load any saves. I tried clearing my caches and disabling my steam overlay and it's still not loading.

Thanks to you I have evidence to shut up all those who claim it has something to do with the hotfix. Because I am using the latest version, and it clearly works as you can see - even that savegame is not mine.

The question is now, how to proceed?

A lot of people I asked to do this and that they all wrote they did this and that, but I feel like I cannot trust them. I mean, they did not want to believe me it works, and sometimes you need to be very precise with tech stuff, right?

Let us start easy before I ask you to try what I think should work.

If you start a new character, does it load normal and can you save normal and load that new save normal? Like, try making a new character and give them the name... Yennifer or whatever. For testing.

We use the knowledge from that result to continue troubleshooting your issue.

Thank you, I like him a lot too. I will do that later, but first I tried turning off cross saves but it didn't work, next I tried to load earlier save, made barely 2-3 minutes earlier and it worked.

Nonethelss, I share with you my thoughts. It is the levelcache.

Many games with good graphics use premade shaders - similar case - and those need to be remade every time when there are new drivers. And the levelcache needs to be remade every time there is a game update. Normally it should do that automatically.

I do not know why, what happens with certain setup. But I think for certain user that automatic is blocked. And we need to find out why to make it unstuck.

If you feel like it and have some time spare, I definitely want a DxDiag to learn about your computer setup

I've deleted the levelcache folder and restarted both my computer and laptop so many times but the only save i can get working is from 15 hours ago so its not really an option.

Would be deinstalling the game using RevoUninstaller an option? Advanced Mode scan.

That would shorten the download time, but I cannot recommend something I have not done myself. Using RevoUninstaller to fix stuff I did myself though.

P.S.: If I could get a screenshot of the files RevoUninstaller brings up after the advanced scan - that would be awesome. <3

Thanks. Here is what I have learned from your savegame:

1. It did crash my game as well. So your case differs from the case before, where I could load the save game.

2. The issue is not launcher related.

3. The issue is not Steam related.

4. The issue is not rights related.

Therefore something must differ with your game, which creates a savegame which I cannot load. Could I ask you to share the whole PlayerProfiles content? I would like to not only want to check the older save which you have mentioned work, but also your settings.
