Gale's arcane hunger can't be satisfied?

So, I fed Gale one item to stop his Arcane Hunger, then a few hours later he wants another one. Seeing as the debuff is only to con saving throws I decide to let him whine for awhile, but after I looked up how many items he'll end up wanting I saw that it was only 3. So, I went to give him an item and the menu didn't automatically close out like the first time I fed him. So I give him another, and another, and another... until I had nothing left. Gave him 23 items (I saved before of course, this was just an experiment) and he still wanted more. So I clicked out of the menu and he runs off saying he's angry that I'm not helping him.

Is this a bug? Does he seriously need dozens of items to be satisfied? Anyone else have experience with this?

You are lucky, I cannot even feed him the first one. Takes 3, I have read. I do not even see an item with the option that it will cure his arcane hunger.

It only takes 3.. and there are plenty of junk artifacts around in Act 1 you're not going to really use. If you ignore him too long, yes he leaves. He will literally explode if you don't help him enough. If you kill him, he'll explode. If he's dead too long, he will explode. In some cases its literal game over. :P

Either leave him in his traphole or stop hoarding junk and give it to him. A literal crappy amulet from helping Arabella out, there are a couple junk items he can eat in Arron's shop.. like its not hard to help him..

The amount of people who get so OMG about it is.. kind of an interestion psychology watch, to say the least. XD
