Sadly might be a vulklan issue, if possible try it with DX.
During the fight after the kidnapping of Isobel the gpu fans (geforce rtx gamerock 3070) go crazy , in 5 seconds the screen goes black (no sources) and the pc crashes. No actions work, I can only restart the pc.
Tried the integrated graphics card on my mobo (prime b650M-a ax II) and dropped the video quality to as low as it could go. Still crashed like the RTX 4070.
I'm having the exact same problem as you. I've done everything imaginable just as you have done to try to fix this, but nothing works. Were you able to find a solution? I'm desperate at this point as I've put so many hours into this run already and I have no guarantee I won't see this problem again even if I restarted.
I already posted a bug report (using the links in the pinned thread in this forum), and I would encourage everyone else to do the same so that they might see it’s a real issue for a number of people.
They've changed... something, and its completely killed my desire to startup the damn game this past week.
Should be noted: my games crashing with a event viewer error:
Faulting application name: bg3.exe, version: 4.42.51.417, time stamp: 0x658046ce
Faulting module name: ucrtbase.dll, version: 10.0.19041.3636, time stamp: 0x81cf5d89
Exception code: 0xc0000409
Running a SFC /scannow shows no error. Had similar issues with a starfield patch some time ago, just ruined stability, then they fixed it with another patch later on... heres to hoping Larion can do something similar... soonish
