Halsin defend portal quest consistent crash

It always crashes when one of the shadows that spawns in the final waves gets attacked. Anyone else encountered this issue?

Did you find a solution to this problem? I ran into it and got stuck. I know I can just ignore this quest and move on, but I want to break the shadow curse.

I made a save right before the final wave and kept trying

tried attacking them with different characters and letting them move first

I did the same, but in addition to the crash when killing the shadow I have another problem: the game crashes when the portal itself disappears. The problem with killing an enemy crash is workable because you don't have to kill everyone to complete the quest, but the portal disappears when the moves run out or when the shadows destroy it, so I can't complete the quest either way. I wrote to support. I hope they will help me.

I tried this too. It seems that I have tried everything possible, but nothing helps. Hope only for a response from support, or for a future fix/patch. It doesn't look like a problem with my computer.

If on a PC, are you using Vulcan as the graphic option on the Larian Launcher? If so, may try switching to DX11 and see if it improves for you.

I did so. It didn't help.
